  • Reality check - it's absolutely bizarre that a country you live and work in as a functional member of society would decide that you are now banished to a foreign land that you have no knowledge of. As American, imagine being drop-shipped to a small village in Uzbekistan with no money, clothes or google-translate. This is wicked-fucked up torture.

  • Here is a fun drinking game. When he talks you have to drink. You will go to bed sober.

  • She waited 72 hours. The last living rescue was less than 24 hours after the flood.

We don't pay government to provide services, we pay government to support political functionaries and their appointed staff in their role as thieves of our taxes.

Small government for (R)'s is no spending on services. Small government for (D)'s is no limits on spending for things we all agree we need (with all of the overhead of the R's).

I guess I would rather have the one where I get some basic level of service from my government but I can't claim to like it.

  • A package of blue-tack - it is basically sticky play-dough that is completely opaque and you can use wads of it to blunt the pain of stupid LEDs on on your tech shit. I am currently sitting in my living room looking at my TV and various components including router and stuff...easily 20 gobs of blue-tack masking 20 blinking LEDs.

  • What godless moron decided that a standing meeting every 12 hours was a good idea?! People like that are busy doing the opposite of working - they are hindering everyone from working!

  • Get some blue-tack and blind all those blinkers!

  • So totally true. I'm glad to see my intended comment so well phrased. My son was full of personality from the moment his eyes opened (and I melted).

As for funeral - myself, I don't see the point of one for anyone. They don't care. If the people left behind feel the need to do something they can but I don't see the point of it.

  • Now put that mixer to use and whip up lots of cream. YUM!

    Edit: lots not logs...lol

  • Best calm-down music in the world. Love listening and playing them.

  • At the risk of offending (I really don't mean to) that is not at all dull. You're embarking on a mind-bending expansion of your mind-body connection that will break your ability to easily type a reply to this! Admit it, you're struggling to use your alter-keyboard correctly here. You've broken through from dull to anguish in my mind. CMV

  • And surely you used 12 gauge or lower wire to make it happy, right?

  • If you're in your 20's experiencing this you should, frankly, check in to an ER. Old guys like me have some similar issues but not as bad as you are describing. Get some help, son.

  • Yeah, you'll never win the war but you can win the battle.

  • Yes, I'm good with exclusion of entry. The stupid buggers still constantly gnaw on everything (it is actually a biological mandate for them as their teeth keep growing forever). I'm tired of the hassle so I embark on the occasional purge.

  • Oh, sweet summer child...they are upstate happily cavorting among the apple orchards.

  • Frozen zha is inherently shit but my way of making it into food is adding awesome sprinkles...did this last night...

Garlic powder, granulated onion, oregano, fresh-ground white pepper, shakey-cheese (you know what I mean).

Frozen pizza can be kinda-food if you put in some effort.

  • So here, in the comments, is the wisdom you're looking for...you actually want toaster strudel. It is a similar vehicle but instead of powdery-dry preserved bread choke you get fluffy, crispy pastry around your filling. Instead of dry frosting you get yummy glaze that you get apply to your specifications.

The downside is that you have to keep it in the freezer until you're ready to eat - it is not shelf stable like your pasta but it is a superior morning coffee accompaniment.

  • We call ours "the round-y-round" and it is where all of the condiments and such live - salt, pepper, honey, tabasco, simple syrup (for coffee), etc.

  • Generally start with crown royal and 7-up over ice until my 12-ounce 7-up is empty then switch to coors banquet (stupid stubby bottles) until it's time to turn in - which is now.
