Mods have enough to deal with. If getting a single post removed turns someone away from the platform because they couldn't be arsed to read the rules or search again for the right community, that's probably a net benefit for the entire Lemmy community.
Sounds to me like it's a group chat and OP was for some reason high in a courthouse laughing at two people arguing, or play arguing, in said group chat.
That post is just setting off all kinds of alarm bells.
What are the odds that something could impersonate them in a way that gets their account banned? And if that really did happen, why on earth would they not be able to talk about it?

Off topic is off topic. Removing a post for violating rules isn't mean, it's maintaining the integrity of the communities people come here for.
No, they would not build enough because that would reduce profit. And households would pay more because demand is up, and households would get disconnected. We've already seen how they do things.
Case in point, they've reversed their outlook already.
OP said his favorite beer, if OP knows what his favorite beer is and thought it might make a good gift, OP may have context that tells them the neighbor enjoys beer. If someone got me a favorite beer of mine after I did them a favor I would really appreciate it. I would insist it wasn't necessary but I would graciously accept the gift and appreciate it.
This is hilarious because a year or so ago these idiots were saying that building a bunch of data centers would stabilize the Texas grid and were encouraging building them.
But what do you expect from a southern state so corrupt it can't supply enough power to heat homes in the winter and builds fertilizer factories across the street from schools.
