  • I read another article on it and it was never mentioned.

  • The answer is lazy design. It was cheaper and easier to make it a dumb device that gets all direction from a server. Less complexity and more control on their end. Also, subscription.

  • If nobody at the court was using an LLM how was his hidden text discovered?

  • I'm the mod of YouShouldKnow and someone made a post about Rimus behavior. He reported it as doxxing because it used his name even though he has himself linked his real name with his online accounts and piefed himself. I refused to remove the post.

There's a screw loose with this guy. Can we get any version of Lemmy, piefed, etc... Without a problematic Dev?

  • Boox readers are android tablets with e-ink screens.

  • Billionaires don't exist in a world where corporations have to financially pay for the harm they cause.

  • If their funding was 100% paid for by taxes, sure. But only a small fraction is actually paid for with public funds. They have to earn the rest to stay afloat.

  • Wooo! Time to upgrade your expensive beta test!

  • Iron Mountain is aware of the situation so ideally they've flagged it to avoid the bad press of deleting it.

  • Iron Mountain is obviously aware of the situation and probably doesn't want the bad press of deleting it. PBS just needs the court order that makes them hand the data over. Because PBS isn't iron mountains client, they can't hand them the data without a court order.

Twitch content has trained Amazon AI for years, but users can opt out now

  • We will often get people who respond to review comments by copy-pasting them into their LLM, then copy-pasting its response back onto GitHub. Bluntly: this is a waste of everyone's time. If we wanted an LLM's opinion, we could have asked it ourselves. We want to hear your thoughts, not a machine's.

Imagine being so naive you actually think you're contributing anything by being the middle man between a real dev and an LLM.

  • The opt out is new, not them training AI on your content.

  • Its not there. Newer wireless head units have WiFi built in to handle the screen mirroring portion. Which is why a software update won't work. You need a wireless android auto adapter to get wireless. They work great, just don't cheap out on it.

  • Its actually WiFi direct for the wireless version, Bluetooth is for the audio.

  • More money to persecute trans people incoming.

  • Cat isn't pretending, it just got tired there and it knows you won't do shit about it.

  • Yeah, there's a few services like this. Usually sold directly through home theater installers. They sell and install the hardware and set it all up for you.

  • The enemy of my enemy? Use the stones to destroy the stones.

  • Yeah, the average length of training in the US for officers is 6 months. That means there's places that require more and places that require less. There are almost 20,000 individual departments in the US with varying rules and requirements. In Germany you can't even carry a gun on the force without a 4 year degree.
