  • Every day i had it installed i cursed that i had to even use the application, it just made me feel miserable and that i'm just cattle for the corporation, not human being searching for another.

It constantly trys to hook you into spending money and reminds you that you might be missing out if you dont with the blurred profiles of people that have liked you, which are always someone from hundreds of km away anyway or bots, but they might not be also.

And there is also that I'm neurodivergent, so it also filters me out from majority of other people > others just think fundamendally differently than me. And only people that match with me are people i'm not necessarily that interested in but would be willing to at least get to know them, but that isnt very good starting point for finding a girlfriend. I know i would have at least something to offer to others, but i'm not that good at expressing myself so I wont be given a chance or will get misunderstood because i can't express myself in right way.

Mere existence of dating applications kind of make me anxious, since it means other people will be using those instead of being open outside of them. I dont want to even use them, but i feel that i'm forced to if i want to meet people that are looking for anything.

I have also used other applications too, like badoo, hinge and even okcupid. While on tinder you get more matches than on those others, people seem to be less interested in actually talking with you.

  • its just full of people who are not actually looking for anyone, crazy people, people who will not answer you ever. And on top of that, there is like will be 10 men for every woman and if you dont pay you will be at the very bottom of the list, if you pay you will be competing with others who pay, except those who pay more who will still be above you.

Its miserable experience, dont do it to yourself.

  • even llm has more soul than those

  • jaywalkers, enemys of society #1.

  • maybe it really would be worth the effort to learn 🤔

  • or rather their foot at the door. they just need SOMETHING and once they get started they can just keep making things worse. its never about protecting kids.

  • its sickening that the billionaires could just openly reveal all the horrifying things they do to people and no one would care, but only if things directly affect your personal life people care even a little. They could livestream themselves cannibalizing a live child and it wouldnt cause anything but momentary outrage that maybe lasts a bit longer than average.

Its good that people are rising up against this shit because all the negatives are true, but at the same time i have started to feel we really dont deserve good things.

  • yes, i can get behind the configurability, lets you make the program into your own personal tool nicely. my problem is that you have to do it in such difficult and unintuitive way. though it has been very long time since i last took a look at vim, so maybe things have improved and its easier to configure now, i doubt it though.

So it would be nice if getting into it was easier even if you havent used it as your main editor for last 50 years. not being able to even exit vim without looking up guide for it demonstrates this quite nicely.

  • i cant understand all the vim hyping. its probably very neat and can do whatever, but what good is that if it takes awful amount of bother to learn everything by heart since interface has been designed to be as unfriendly as possible. it doesnt have to be fit for office worker, but at least some ease of use is needed.

  • they just want to make them more childish so they can make more money. The fairytales also used to have actual moral of the story or more meaning in general.

  • good start would be openly calling for it, in such way media cant stay silent about it either. just be smart about it and use the enemy's stupidity against them, maybe they will do half the work for you if one can find a way to exploit the way they react to things. Anyone can do something, maybe a graffitti or some other display. Or just not staying silent about it. Just keep at it until you have something more coherent to do or find a group that knows what its doing and work with them. It will piss off some people, but some will look upon them and know that they are not alone which is the point. That is also the point of the protests too, instead of thinking that they will change something immidiately.

Everyone has something to lose, so just evaluate what is acceptable for you to risk. just dont remain inactive, as that is the suppression in action.

  • is he going through a list about antichrist? this is literally one of the things.

  • firefox really shouldnt be our only line of defence for decent browser..

  • it means i might be open to relationship with same gender as myself or other experiences. It also means i can better relate to other people in similar position. But how can you evaluate what is necessarily beneficial to others or how much bother things have caused for them?

But ultimately, what does it even matter what people think about their gender? its their own business. It still falls down to people either liking eachother or not. Only thing added is expectation of respecting what other person thinks about themselves, which also serves as a filter for people one wouldnt want to associate with anyway.

  • It might also be, that the multitude of different sexualities is result of people being able to think about that stuff without worrying constantly they will be hunted down for it. Even though things are still not exactly optimal, society has become safe enough for more complex behaviour to emerge. So on second thought, maybe its indeed product of cultural factors 🤔

Personally, i have always thought i'm 100% straight, but after discussing about things with a friend and after starting to feel I shed last of the things suppressing me, I think i might be only 90% +-9% straight. I think if we could completely remove all suppression of thought, every human would deviate at least a little from binaric gender system. I also think it would improve mental health a lot too and it would lessen the amount of people who want to hurt other people for being different. Probably everyone who preaches how homosexuality is a sin is secretly non-straight, but they just suppress it so badly it drives them to insanity of hurting others.

  • though have you considered that hiding such identity has been product of cultural factors?

  • Well of course, its kind of nobrainer? If you like someone and want to be with them and they like you and want to be with you, that is that.

  • its same mentality as drug supplier avoiding to get high on his own suppily.
