  • Kraft Mac n cheese. You can add all sorts of stuff to it to make it stretch and be somewhat healthier. Frozen riced cauliflower, onions, beans, hot dogs, whatever.

Suddenly salad works well this way too. Add tomato, carrot, bell pepper, etc.

I used to do the same with instant ramen but the sodium level in it is way too high for me to eat anymore.

  • Certain food additives.

  • Vomit.

  • You’ve got an IR sensor somewhere that is supposed to turn the lights on when it senses a person’s presence. The heat from the boiling water is tripping sensor.

I have a similar sensor in my faucet. It always turns the faucet on when I pour boiling water into the sink.

    That’s my guess anyway.

  • Bizarre ruling. There are plenty of other ways to get apps on an Android phone. Amazon even had an App Store for a while.

  • The All feed is useless because it’s the same meme or news story posted 100 times each day because everyone thinks they have to start their own sub for memes or news stories.

  • You might wanna stop drinking out of plastic if you can avoid it. If you’re gonna buy a water bottle, you can buy one made out of stainless steel and it’ll survive the dishwasher. Of course you’ll have to make sure you buy a reputable brand, otherwise It’ll be full of lead.

  • Lemmy needs a hierarchy similar to Usenet, or a way to tag each c/ with keywords to make it easier for the user or client software to block huge swaths of topics the user is not interested in.

Examples: Memes. Sports. News. Politics. Entertainment. Music.

It would improve signal to noise ratio in the All feed, allowing users to find new content they are interested in, rather than simply 100 dupes of things they are not.

  • They’re talking about Ghislaine Maxwell in the headline. Not some government official with the same last name. (It’s getting difficult to keep up with all of this ridiculous corruption.)

  • USB. Most things don’t need AC power. We can get rid of wall warts and create a universal standard by including USB C ports on AC plugs.

  • I won’t be surprised when some of this uranium mysteriously goes missing and then no one is held accountable.

  • Mistaking salon for saloon. Both have lots of talking, smoking, and music. But one has an extra o.

  • Yes, but with memes. Lots and lots of memes.

  • None of them? I find it’s worth the extra $2 to go somewhere local or “fast casual”. Places like McDonalds , Wendy’s, and Burger King are overpriced garbage these days.

  • Seems unnecessary. Raspberries are plentiful and likely cheaper than beaver parts.

  • I cannot wait for the evangelicals to start freaking out about “satanic” AI!
