Were I come from 4 months is the bare minimum. To be fair, you do not get your full salary but a reduced amount; however depending on the conditions that can extend up to 2 years.
Difference here is that it is not the company itself paying you that money but it is rather a government system which is payed directly by the workers.
It's a system which is not advantageous if you never lose your job, since you have to pay for it regardless; but comes very handy if you ever end up needing it.
The company also has to pay you 20-33 days of salary for every year you've been working there.

Is this common in the US? This really feels like nothing. I do not know whether there are other remunerations funded by the government, but 4 months of pay after being laid off really is not very much.
Is this company paying out a very small sum to their employees or is it common to give very little money to fired people?
There are valid reasons to use an MIT license. Why do you care how someone else licenses their own code?
Write your own code and license it how you prefer.
GPL was designed as a virus to end the existence or viability of copyright law. I do appreciate the idea, and plenty of my code is licensed as GPL or comparable copyleft license. Also, plenty of my code is licensed under more permissive licenses, as that is sometimes more appropriate for that code to be useful.
Do I care someone makes money out of code originating from what I wrote? I do not. Do I care whether they give me their modifications to such code? I do not.
No reason to hate on MIT license. It has its uses.

You should be able to connect to the most broken and vulnerable machine and an attacker should still only be able to know your IP and little more information about you.

Do you say install at your own risk just it's because it's the correct thing to do or because you installed something similar and now you advise other people to do the same without having checked what the script does?

You just linked to an article which says one guy told another newspaper genz is dumb. Then you go to the other newspaper and they link the piece of research which he presented not to a peer reviewed journal but rather to the Senate. The whole piece of research consists of 7 pages.

I feel like the breaking of spaghetti is a bit exaggerated. Typically people prefer not to break them, but there are plenty occasions in which Italian people do break spaghetti.
Such as using them in a soup, or cooking for an older person which may have problems using the fork properly.
However, if you break spaghetti because your pot is too small you're definitely doing it wrong. Keep breaking them if you want them smaller, but use a larger pot; that will prevent them from sticking together. You do want quite a lot of water to cook pasta, not just enough to cover them while they're completely packed in the pot.
