  • Are there certain brands of artichoke hearts in cans that don't have hard fiberous parts? The few times I've had them they seemed not prepared properly, am I supposed to do something to them? They're supposed to taste fatty, right?

I've also personally spoken with Stoat community members who were more educated about the project than me. As well as a friend who is very involved in tech projects

  • Discord will be using video verification

  • I don't know if anyone else has had this issue but I tried multiple times to sign up for spacebar/Fermi and it just didn't go through. Do they block VPN's for signups or certain privacy browsers?

I've not had an issue with signing up for any other FOSS sites with my setup. Just curious if anyone else was having this issue

  • No they don't. Check out my other reply.

TLDR, they plan to but haven't yet. But currently they (the owners of the centralized instance) have the ability to read other people's chats due to the lack of E2E encryption

  • Reposting my reply from another thread, just to keep people informed:

Keep in mind everyone that Stoat still doesn't currently protect it's users information and is centralized. It doesn't use encryption but it is very seamless. You can host your own Stoat instance but it doesn't communicate with the main one. The devs have said they plan to add more security features in the future yet still don't make it a priority. The host of Stoat should be able to see everyone's messages, including in DM's, due to the lack of E2E encryption. Once they add more security features I imagine they will be much more popular in general.

  • Or use a virtual camera with a preset video

  • This doesn't work for age verification and is a relatively small pool of photos
