  • That I fucking need to pay attention to these lessons

  • Not anymore, they prefer to spend ten times more on less useful shit. It's above my pay grade anyway, so why bother.

  • That's not true, I've seen pictures of me smoking, it was almost the other way around. I'm not planing to smoke again though.

  • Yes, in that wiggle room there is space for those folks that you're talking about, in a way I feel a bit included. Then there's those that have them as a background noise machine and feel that they've read the book.

To second-screen watch a movie as is the same as to watch a movie?

  • Do you stop doing everything else while listening to an audiobook or podcast? Do you listen to them while driving, running, doing chores or working?

  • Reading it is a far greater accomplishment, it requires intention and dedication. You can give that to an audiobook, of course, but can also listen to it while playing call of duty and say that you finished it.

  • The same way we did up until now. Reliable sources and critical thinking. That these aren't very popular lately doesn't mean that they disappeared.

  • Last two books were Dark Blood by Stuart MacBride, I like this detective series so far but I need at least a few months between books. And this week I finished La Chica del Lago by Mikel Santiago, mistery novel, not bad.

Now I want to change genre, I'm thinking about reading Olvidado Rey Gudú by Ana María Matute.

  • Fine, they're ok.

  • All the thing you say you like are because this is a much smaller place.

  • You actually pay less for bigger logos.

  • A cease and desist letter

  • I agree, make the place too big and it will become unmanageable the same way it went for reddit.

  • Probably, I have no idea. Maybe uBlock origin. The thing is that it blocks tiles at random, I took that screenshot because it was easier to read.

  • WTF?

  • Social media is to social interaction like scratching around the spot the doctor told not to scratch. It might seems it helps but not really.

To avoid social media is imperative to have real world interests and real social interactions. Depending on where you live this last part will be more or less harder and it will take time.

Where you live are there any places that offer free or very cheap classes or activities?

What are you interested in? Have any hobbies? Is there anything you might have felt curious at some point and never thought about it again?

  • One litre of water for every 100 grams of pasta.

  • I asked how it works in Spain, I was really curious. Here you start the process in front of a judge that can last up to two years where the other person is declared "in rebellion" so the process can proceed without having to give further notification.

  • I haven't watched it but I'd say to try what was my approach with The Lord of the Rings. Watch the movie. If you liked it or if you felt the need to know more about the story, read the books and every other related thing. Then watch the movie again.

You have only one chance of watching the movie without previous knowledge.
