  • Almost every day when talking to customers. They had problems scanning a QR code, I tell them no problem just give that reference number of the QR to the guy at the gate or at the intercom and they'll open for them. Next question usually is, "so the gate will open automatically?" (No, I'll need that number to open) or "but I've already paid!" (I know, you wouldn't have a QR code with a reference number otherwise), but the most surprising one so far was last week, "and if they don't want to open?" I had to admit to the man that I had no answer to that.

  • They weren't known as anime, they were just cartoons (or more like dibujos animados in Spanish), the anime tag came much later.

    My earliest memories of japanese cartoons are from Mazinger Z, Heidi, Captain Harlock and Dr Slump.

  • I think I can but I don't really know. I can't think of any examples of things I no longer like after knowing what fucked up thing the artist did nor I can otherwise, stuff I still like regardless.

    I guess it will depend mostly on how much is the artist involved, for example, I think I could read a Neil Gaiman book but I don't feel like listening an audiobook narrated by himself.

  • That is super important and hard to master, at least for me. I'm usually happy to hear whatever they're telling me and I will probably remember it for a very long time but if I have to ask... it is like a blank page paralysis.

  • One of the things I do at my job is emptying the trash bins of the car park, people throw away all sorts of things, some of them are useful, some of them are disgusting, some of them are intriguing. Then there are the patterns and trends.

    I'm talking about a pay car park, all interior inside a building. There's this spot where each week there was a gin bottle in the trash with three or four cans of tonic, but no plastic cups. Each week for maybe ten years then one day it changed to a bottle or two of Ballantine's for two or three years and just recently it changed again to a herbs liquor popular around here.

    Other times, not often enough, there are rejected presents, like a pair of new shoes that some guy tossed in the trash. How do I know it was a rejected present? Because it included a birthday note that read something like:

    I've never forgot your birthday, I hope you enjoy it my dear [Joe], even though you hurt me that much you might know why you did it.Sincerly [Jane]

    My friends tell me that I should write stories about the stuff I find but I'm really bad at that, it would be fun though.
