I learned to play the guitar growing up as a young rapscallion in Mississippi. But things didn't really take off until I moved to Memphis. There I met the Colonel and the hits just kept coming. Unfortunately, the fame went to my head, I gained a lot of weight, started wearing a white jumpsuit, and ate tranquilizers like they were trail mix. Then, in 1977, I died on the toilet.

Or did I?

I also develop Tesseract UI for Lemmy/Sublinks

  • I haven't really watched usage since I dug it out and wiped it, but it mostly depends how many tabs I have open at a given time. It's mostly used for web browsing, web apps, and basic productivity software (Thunderbird, Matrix, LibreOffice, etc).

When I used it last in late 2022, it was typically using most of its memory (excluding filesystem cache) keeping a bunch of browser tabs open.

  • Jesus Christ!

Wow. Knowing those people think like this and seeing it in a picture are like...totally different things.

  • You mean like how would the people native to the timeline know it was tampered with?

Unless they're El Aurian, a Borg Queen (or any species with trans-temporal awareness) or otherwise insulated from time like the Krenem time ship, then they probably wouldn't.

  • Yep. I think the actual episode name is "Blue Harvest" or at least that's what I put in the post thinking it was called.

  • In my "Star Trek: Blazin' Bev" universe, she takes the captain's seat seriously. Only sparks up before coming on duty, after her shift ends, or if it's, like, really stressful.

  • I was that guy lol

A few of my friends were in a band in college and played at a bunch of local/regional dives. I was the light and sound guy if the venue didn't have their own, so I was at most of their shows.

It wasn't part of their set, but they did keep Free Bird up their sleeve and would play it when someone shouted it. If no one did, I'd step up and yell "Play some Free Bird!" in my most exaggerated southern drawl.

  • I mean, she intentionally chose "Night Bird" because she knew he couldn't play it. Even in the episode proper, she's was trolling masterfully lol.

  • That's amazing. I can't believe that's real, lol.

  • Eh, maybe if Riker belted it out in Spanish lol.

🎵Y en conclusion, tu eres mi ilusión 🎵

  • Just defederated from usagi [dot] reisen just in case federation starts working on that end.

  • Probably different batches. Recall info said it was due to an issue with a single supplier. Not even all of the listed models are affected, just certain serial numbers for each model.

  • I mean...I tend to take potential lithium fires seriously, especially when they're in my everyday carry. Companies don't issue recalls and mass-replace units on a whim.

  • HAHAHA. 🤦‍♂️ I've called them "Ankler" for freaking years and am just today learning it's "Anker".

It's "Downtown Abbey" all over again lol.

  • No, they're on the form. Was just providing experience of what the process is like in case people expect it to be super painful.

  • Yep. I'll note that in the post. Thanks.

  • Process was pretty easy. Basically you have to:

    1. Fill out the recall form (linked in post).
    2. Provide info for the unit:
      • Model number
      • Serial number
    3. It will check to see if that exact unit is part of the recall. If it is, you'll also need to provide:
      • Where it was purchased
      • The order number associated with the purchase
    4. Let them know if you want a replacement unit shipped to you or a non-expiring gift card for Anker.com
      • I selected "replacement unit" and had to provide my shipping address. Not sure if gift card needs that or not, but would assume so.
    5. You have to submit two photos of the unit:
      • Write the current date and the word RECALL on a piece of paper.
      • Upload a photo of the back with the serial number visible with the paper in the shot
      • Upload another photo of the front with the paper in the shot. Also, you have to write RECALL on the device itself in Sharpie (not sure if they'll be able to see it in mine since the case is black and you can't see the marker at all)
    6. It said the turnaround time is approx. 5 days.
    7. It advises to send the unit for recycling after you submit the form, but I'm holding onto mine for now because I'm not sure if they're gonna complain about the Sharpie not being visible in the second photo.
