  • I was once thrown out of class. I decided to take it literally and went outside and swinged away to my fullest. After some time it got lonely and I went back to the class. I think it was best for us all.

  • I tried it and it showed browsing the net for content versus loading from a cache. It’s nasty though and there should be a hard delete option for deleting content after 30 days. The discussions here are more like coffee table talk about recent topics and search rarely returns anything meaningful.

  • Duration has really inflated. Back then we used to have only 10 hours of things.

  • Thanks, I focused on the cargo but that makes sense.

  • I just started with Claude and I can’t yet distinguish when it has actually done something it says it has done. With ChatGPT I can see through the bullshit quite well by now. At first I was happy when I thought Claude was rid of that bullshit, but turns out it’s just a different type of bullshit.

The UI and file handling is better in Claude though, and supposedly you can make it create skills which are like instruction booklets on how to do some tasks and then export and share them. But the ones I created were lost during the weekend so I’m not sure how robust they actually are.

  • Do you work in the band named Pink Floyd?

  • I guess it would be more precise, and they could sell it to game developers.

  • Wouldn’t they be aligned twice per year?

  • It was a bit exaggerated but true to an extent

  • As a Finn I can say that you’re only supposed to give ”constructive feedback” which means pointing out mistakes. Any compliment will be taken as sarcasm.

  • I didn’t notice your critique on the outcome of results, but how they were achieved. LLM’s hallucinating are making computers make ”human errors”, which makes them less deterministic, the key reason I prefer doing some things on a computer.

  • It’s called the heuristic method and those doing it know the limitations. Whereas LLMs will just confidently put out garbage claiming it true.

  • Mastodon servers can have different character limits and other customizations, but migrating is supposedly easy so you got that quite right. In Lemmy though there is a ”local” feature where you can easily browse content in your own server. I never use it but I guess it could be useful for some communities.
