  • Thank you, I’ve been wondering if I might want one but now I definitely don’t.

  • Excellent list

  • If tortellini counts, that’s my preference.

  • I used to have a kitty who drooled when she was happy. (She passed a few years ago.) She was a grumpy thing, but occasionally she would deign to give us some love and get some in return, and after a few minutes she’d shake her head and it would go flying everywhere, lol. Sometimes I wonder if she liked living with us, being so grumpy at times, but she must not have totally hated it.

  • You could say we bought our Teslas “for the environment” in a way, though a bit roundabout. When we bought them (2018), it was after having previously leasing a Leaf which had shit mileage and poor performance over 40mph. We wanted to signal to the industry with our dollars that we wanted the EV movement to succeed. Because apparently money is the only thing they listen to. We knew full well that EVs were only a step toward a greener future or whatever but we wanted the industry to take that step and understand that being environmentally friendlier was important.

  • I’ve seen so many attempts at justification for that one online but I can’t help but think that those people just don’t want to admit that they’re wrong.

  • When we first introduced my dog, my young cat, about 2 years old at the time I think, somehow managed to literally climb the wall and perch six feet up with her feet against each wall at a corner. I’m still not sure how she did it and I almost don’t trust my memory except it was seared in because I was so in shock.

  • How can you boycott a company when you already bought their product six years ago and weren’t planning on replacing it any time soon? Asking for a friend…

  • I don’t remember exactly when I did but it was around then. Sooo much happier honestly.

  • Good luck with the potential job!

  • He has kind eyes

  • I’m in a similar state but I thought I was just getting old. But with age comes greater ability to not give a fuck so maybe it’s a little of column A, a little of column B.

  • Can’t say I agree with you. Call me old fashioned but I like having the physical book. It lends a vibe to the experience that e-readers bypass simply by being digital.

  • Aah now I wanna watch that movie.

  • Serious question, do you feel like you’re seeing more and more of them of late? I do but my husband thinks I’m just falling victim to whichever theory or whatever it is that when you notice something, you start noticing more of it over and over but it is not any more common than it was before. I’m not convinced.

Anyway recently I was behind one that made me laugh. It said: New Driver Good Luck Everyone

  • I’m a super white lady living in a pretty multicultural area. Sadly I feel like I mostly experience the opposite here from my non-white friends. Those with names from their ancestral culture (is that a good way to put it? Not sure) either ignore our mispronunciations or simply adopt western names. I had a coworker from Shanghai whose name I always said wrong because of the inflection. It makes me sad that they kind of give up trying to teach people to pronounce their names correctly, but at the same time, I get it. It’s a lot of constant work and some of us white people, or other non-whites from different cultures, just aren’t going to try or see why it’s important. I probably wouldn’t force the issue either if it were me, but man, what a constant way to feel othered.

  • Or in school names, like U Dub for University of Washington.

  • I’m honestly not sure which party you’re talking about. It’s just vague enough…

  • Man none of my dreams ever make sense. They’re not usually true nightmares, but occasionally. They’re never fun or relaxing, they’re always a little bit WTF, but somehow my brain still tells me, yeah sure, this is all real! And then I wake up confused. Always been that way. I’m jealous of people who have nice dreams. I’d rather have none at all rather than the junk my brain throws at me.
