Not only that, but it is a free service with limited resources by a group that support open source. If people dump a lot of private repos that will fill up space quickly with no OS'S support.
LLM generated code will also fill up space quickly as projects are often created rapidly and frequently and abandoned.
It's their house and you're their guest. You should be polite and follow their rules.
Amazon did this and regretted it, canning their leaderboards.
It's crazy to me that this is considered normal. Please use this product that will eventually replace you, kill the planet, and make some douchebag rich.
And Accenture itself reportedly started requiring senior staff to start using AI or risk losing out on promotions.
Every time companies urge employees to use AI and then regret the cost. The fuck is wrong with people? Why are they pushing it so hard? Does Sam give them hand jobs if they use the most?
I don't understand this need to pressure staff into using something and threatening punishment if not. Are they worried that their employees are not efficient enough? Pay them the token prices on top of their salary and see how stuff changes.
Going to throw myhat in the ring. I used to use Cloudflare tunnels which are super easy to use and work well. Issue: it's cloudflare and cloudfalre bad, and works best if you also have your domain registered there.
Anyways, I now use https://docs.pangolin.net/ which does a very similar job. It works great and IMO is easier to admin than tunnels, especially with auth and such.
I run pangolin on a racknerd cheapo server and traffic in forwarded to the box in my cupboard. Pangolin have some refetal links to hosting that give you some discounts.
I see the point they are making, but often times I start something and then think "wtf am I doing? There are so many better options out there" and I feel I am wasting my time
The problem is bitwarden is likely to hike prices or sell to a buyer or merge. As long as you control your data you'll be fine. If the client ends up as collateral damage you can export from the vaultwarden web ui
That's assuming no one forks the client which is open source
Unpopular but cloudflare direct? I didn't need to provide photo id for porkbun, buy I did sign up a while ago.
Apart from that I have used gandi but they took a weird turn with their pricing etc
