  • Accepting or requiring?

  • It's basically the same as old Karel Zeman films, he uses it for highly stylized look but here it is used for invisible VFX.

It is surprising that these effects didn't change much, now they are aided by computers.

  • When I see how some of our politicians can run away from justice, it isn't that weird.

But our justice system is truly independent from the political one.

  • If you really need/want to, use foreign coverage of it. Maybe BBC or other English world wide news will have something (DW, 24France).

You will get mostly unbiased info and it is usually more chill than the heated debates. I use this sometimes but for my country it doesn't cover much news.

  • Red dwarf learning drugs are real!

  • Of course it was dumb question lol

  • Did anyone make some headcount? Like nice graphics when and how many people died, in TOS dead are in nearly every episode.

  • Because selective breading is technically a form of genetic engineering/modification. I think it's fine and we do it for thousands of years.

New methods make it easier, faster and gives more options what to do (modified proteins...).

  • Sorry the only one that I used is in Czech. If you want to look it up:

    "Pivařka" ISBN 978-80-7565-108-2

It has more general information (little bit useless for homebrewing) but half of it are recipes.

  • Any recipie book for homebrewing.

It just gives you ideas what to do, you have to figure out/iron out the techniques. They are for each settup different so with any book/manual you have to tinker with it yourself.

  • If you don't know anything about Westworld - don't read reviews...

The mindfuck from the first season is worth it when you go blind in to it. The soundtrack is making the vibe of it even more disturbing/disorienting.

  • TIL, thanks.

  • More general answer than you expected, but...

I really like when the sound design in movies makes sense - it "plays" in radio, gramophone...

For example "Black hole sun" cover in first episode of Westworld is just brilliant and caught me off guard (I didn't know what it is about).

  • So penguins would be bad drivers.

  • Ahh that's why I get confused looks from all the people along the road.

  • I don't think it is malicious, it was sign of bot activity that some account only down voted or up voted lots of posts in a short time.

But yeh most of the post in this community are meh at best so it is understandable that someone do it legitimately.

  • There are night busses in my city, and there are loads of wild stories but maybe my favorite is this wholesome one:

So friends were returning from pub with guitars (some jam night) and didn't want to stop. Get to the bus and started playing again, few stops another guy with guitar gets on, joins them... So the trip went like all the people singing, players hops on and of on their stops and everyone have a good time returning from pubs.

When we did something like that on few hour long train ride some German girls really liked it, they didn't understand a word but they clapped after each song.
