  • The judge saw that Stewartson was a poet.

In June 2023, Patel filed a complaint that Stewartson was smearing him online by calling him a “blatantly incompetent chud” and a “Kremlin asset” who plotted to “overthrow the government” on January 6, 2021.

Initially, Stewartson didn’t respond to the lawsuit, which led to Patel winning a $250,000 default judgment in August 2025. Stewartson challenged the default judgment on the grounds that he had no meaningful ties to Nevada, where the case was filed, and declared that Patel was a “googly-eyed Kremlin bitch” and, again, a “chud.”

Stewartson celebrated the final order, which referenced his comment in a footnote. “I’d like to commend the judge for including ‘googly-eyed Kremlin bitch’ in his ruling,” Stewartson wrote on X Tuesday.

  • but I was using it (perhaps incorrectly) to refer to out and proud centrists eager to fight the good fight in service of the belief that actually nothing can change and the establishment is doing great.

    Those are trolls.

  • Lmao, what exactly is a "radical centrist?" It sounds like the beginning of a skit.

  • Let's remind everyone what this about. He said she lied about being raped and 12 civil jurors (still jurors) decided that she didn't lie and that she was raped.

  • So they can gatekeep knowledge? Got it.

  • I know some of the people doing this hate America because of legitimate reasons, but they hate our government, not most of the others. Maybe I'm jaded because of where I live, but the city empties when a world catastrophe hits because they're running around the world to help. That's the America I know.

  • I'm all for everyone doing their own thing. Defend if you want to defend, feed the children, etc. Even if you feel like you want to do suicide by cop, go ahead. Promoting a general idea of fight and chaos seems like trolls trying to get America to descend into a civil war, which is the stupidest, most asinine, only good for Russia and China thing America could do. It's always foreign trolls that say and promote that kind of shit too. It really makes you wonder.

  • Did you watch the video you linked? Their name is "The Black Panther Party of Self Defense." There are so many things about that to discuss and I don't think you'll come at in good faith, that I feel like that discussion is best left for another fediverse person. You have to attack them first. The OP is talking some other shit.

Also, the reason I mentioned "gun laws getting changed," is because the trolls usually go there first. This is a new one.

  • Similar to how they had to create their own programs to feed children because the government refused to.

Right, this is a great way to go about fighting dictators and assholes.

  • Are they? They're not going to get any gun laws changed if you don't hear about them.

    • What do the last 20 years tell you?
    • There is so much surveillance and military power, how does it turn out?
    • What are the Black Panthers up to now?

  • While stopping short of referring to Weiss by name, Vega said her decision to tell the story strictly through the eyes of West Virginians had spurred backlash from CBS’s “new” top brass because she had not interviewed Vice President JD Vance or referred to his decade-old memoir, Hillbilly Elegy.

But Vance, as Vega pointed out, is from Ohio. Not West Virginia.

Other arguments bubbled up over the network’s new intent to insert political bias into the famed news magazine’s reporting, according to Vega. One such instance involved demands by network executives that she include footage of protesters attacking plainclothes Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in Minnesota—footage that her team discovered did not exist. She said she was also tasked with inserting a line into one of her scripts that claimed Iran was “totally outgunned” by U.S. and Israeli forces—a detail that she noted was a copy-paste administration talking point.

  • I'll see if I can find it, but that "collectively lost $830 billion in market value" is doing a lot of heavy lifting. It went down from like 89% to 82% or something. That's how much those fuckers make.

  • They just listened to the parliamentarian and trump tried to fire her, but couldn't. I think you have your facts wrong.

  • It may not get past the parliamentarian though. This passing would be really bad, but the republicans are counting on their base which is at 36%. Good Space Guy in Seattle sometimes gets that much and has never won.

  • Berman: Yeah, they’re basically paying states to do voter suppression. That’s the simplest way I can explain what the House is doing.

Yeah, I think it’s a pretty big stretch that A, it would get past the parliamentarian, and B, there’s enough votes for it. Because Trump keeps talking about getting rid of the filibuster. But the fact is, there isn’t even a simple majority for the SAVE America Act at this point. You have Murkowski announced she’s against it, Tillis announced he’s against it in its current form going into effect before the midterms.

  • There are lots of versions of the story I can tell about how I transitioned from the Republicanism of my childhood to become a progressive in my late teens: critical thinking skills, education, relocation from a small town to liberal Austin, Texas. But likely the truest story is the simplest one: The left was a lot more fun.

The progressive world had better music, more interesting books, and entertaining parties. Feminism interwove political discourse with pop culture, fashion, and sex. Liberalism was an ideology that promoted curiosity, beauty, humor, and freedom — so totally unlike the small-minded and boring conservatives I grew up around. When I think about attracting people to the left now and getting them motivated, however, I have to admit that it no longer seems so obvious that liberals are the fun ones.
