  • For people who’ve had a genuine opportunity to learn and couldn’t figure it out then I would kind of support this. If someone can’t figure out a basic coordination exercise then I don’t really trust them to handle the controls of a couple of tons of moving vehicle.

    I assume, to maintain consistency of your judgment, you also regularly turn off ABS, traction control, cover up the backup camera screen only turning around and looking out your back window when reversing? An electric starter also is a bit of a luxury too, right? Do you usually push your car forward with your feet and pop the clutch to start the car, or are you a true purist that uses an old school handcrank mated to the engine's crankshaft? Wouldn't these all be, matching the theme of your definition, basic coordination exercises that someone must be able to handle to control them to control a couple of tons of moving vehicle?

  • Well, you'd then have another problem. Unlike coal/wood/oil fuel, you can't turn off radioactive decay.

    You'd have megawatts (gigawatts?) of thermal energy boiling off all your water pretty quickly, and likely eventually melting down your steam engine firebox, and it would be that hot for decades!

    Non-critical? There isn't much energy released from natural decay compared to criticality. We created things like this to power space probes like the Voyager I and II craft. 4.5kg of this Plutonium created about 2500w of thermal energy the the beginning of its life and the power declines from there.

    Many MAGAts that face social consequences for their MAGAtism cry victim and and then circled with attention and monetary support by other MAGAts. Since they aren't actually victims and they want the attention, they manufacture the victim status.

    Sadly this isn't confined to MAGAts. Actor Jussie Smollett did the same thing attempting to manufacture victimhood of a hate crime. What really angers me about Smollett is that there are real victims of race based hate crimes and his antics cast doubt on those other real victim's situations.

Nitric acid was being made back in the 13th century. Arrange a copper bar and a zinc bar separated from one another with an insulator (glass, ceramic, or even wood) in a glass or ceramic jar. Pour in the acid submerging most of the bars with some expose above the acid. You now have a battery with the anode and cathode (positive and negative terminals) being the top of the bars.
