Don't Lemmy and Mastodon also have this problem to some extent? Like, all the comms on lemm.ee will have to start over on new instances, no? Is it possible to migrate all subscribers, comments, and posts? Or just partial migrations?

I currently own the Supernote A6X2 and I'm super happy with it. I use it almost every day to diagram stuff for programming. I also read technical books on it. The Supernote A5X (the previous version) was also very good. I just ended up liking the smaller size better.
My favorite feature is that Supernote does NOT require a subscription! The device also has plenty of other features. You can read PDFs and ebooks, of course. You can even install the Kindle app on it, though you can't install any Play Store app. The palm blocking is good. There are gestures to help you write faster. There's a shape tool. Different pencil sizes, highlighters. Paper backgrounds. Hand writing recognition. And you don't need to buy replacement pen tips!
Supernote cons vs reMarkable:
The Supernote isn't as polished as the reMarkable. The Supernote definitely isn't bad, especially the newer A6X2, but it does feel a notch below reMarkable in terms of the build feel.
If you really, really, REEEEAAALLY want to pretend you're writing with a pencil and paper, then the reMarkable will be closer to that. Writing on the Supernote is just different. It's more like writing on a notebook with a pen.
I only have 1 project left on GitHub. It's a tiiiiny bit popular. Not huge, but I have a decent amount of stars on it. I know some people use it in automated work flows.
I've actually been thinking about how to get it off GitHub for a while now. Any tips? Ideally without breaking everyone and pissing everyone off? Or at least with minimal disruption...

YES! Nextcloud is actually kinda good. I was skeptical for a long time, but I've changed my mind recently.
If you don't want to self-host (I'm not there yet, it seemed like a pain at first glance), then there are 2 online hosting providers that I've used recently.
nubo.coop fully manages Nextcloud for you, you just use it as a normal SaaS
northmail.ca also Nextcloud as a service, same as Nubo
Nubo is in Europe, while Northmail is in Canada.
They both offer email, notes, calendars, contacts, cloud file storage. Nubo also offers a tasks app, while Northmail doesn't yet.
I'm in the US, so Nubo was a little slow for me. I've been using Northmail for about 1 week now. Northmail's Nextcloud instance is faster for me. Northmail also uses a way more recent version of Nextcloud. Nubo's Nextcloud is pretty old. Northmail is also offering 100GB for $0.99 CAD per month, which is way more than Nubo.
I had to move off Nubo because my bank doesn't do international wires.
If Northmail adds Nextcloud Tasks, then I will have everything I want from Northmail!
😆😂🤣 Uuuuhh... Aaaah... I normally generate a random password and use it as my username for most services. Like even my bank.
This is because I've realized the username is mostly useless and is just a handle for my account. It doesn't matter to me if my username is jsmith, meow123, or kekxbek. In fact, it's easier if I don't have to come up with something novel or cool. Either way it goes in my password manager, so it's not like I have to even remember it.

Do you also think, what's the point of Google Search, Windows, WhatsApp, YouTube, Instagram, etc if you can't derive any "value" from it, where "value" means Open Source™ value? Those apps are still insanely valuable to users, even if they don't get Open Source™ value from them.
