  • There has always been slop before AI slop.

  • EM: Well, there are a lot of these cars going around the world all the time, and very seldom does anything like this happen … I just don’t want people thinking that Cybertrucks aren’t safe.

    R: Was this Cybertruck safe?

EM: Well I was thinking more about the other ones…

R: The ones that are safe...

EM: Yeah... the ones the wheel doesn’t fall off.

  • And either way, there is no bad press.

The myth that "all advertising is good advertising" is just that. There are reputational impacts from stunts like these.

Just look at how bad Ye has fucked up his career. Sure, he's still rich as hell, but he ain't coming back from that.

  • Okay, point out the sentence.

  • This is such an incoherent counterpoint that I'm convinced this is just some form of trolling.

  • There's so much information, misinformation, and random forum posts that using an search engine alone is hot garbage. And I'm not even talking about Google's zero-click bullshit. Even using other search engines will only get you so far, so fast. Stack Overflow ain't the resource it used to be, and even then, it was still rife with misinformation and noobs that didn't know what the hell they were talking about.

The way I see it, there are two choices:

    1. Spend 30-60 minutes trying to find the information I'm looking for.
    2. Ask my Kagi agent to find what I'm looking for, give me the results in 1-2 minutes, and provide an intelligent list of options for my problem.
  • Whats stopping you from killing someone?

I have morals and ethics. But, not everybody does, and that's why there's prior enforcement to make the punishment a deterrent for the crime.

If there's no enforcement, there's no law.

  • It's one sheet of plywood, Michael, how much could it cost? 50 dollars?

  • Right, but the description, and by extension Beyonce herself, isn't indicating that this is a joke or some statement against fans mindlessly buying anything they produce. She legit wants her fans to spend $1000 on a box, and frankly the bad press costs more than the $450,000 she expects to get out of it.

  • I think he may have a personality disorder.

may have? My brother in christ, everybody already knows he has a pretty strong case of narcissistic personality disorder.

  • Ain't no war except class war.

  • It's called "copyleft" for a reason.

  • In terms of murder, not every person is caught. But, enough of them are to deter the crime.

In terms of "no AI" enforcement, it's not even a matter of perfection. It's not possible to enforce except for the dumbest attempts, especially without also using AI to detect it. And if that enforcement comes about, then the evasion starts, and it's hidden even further.

  • Wow, just speedrunning Godwin's Law, aren't we?

I guess I'm going to go back to work and talk to my five LLM sessions that are working on different tickets.

  • The entire point of GPL is to forcefully extract copyright out of the code in the first place.
