  • Well actually it was my fingers with his feet! We were playing a card game and my friend wanted to give me a card under the table. We where at opposite sides of the table, so I tried finding his hand down there and found a vaguely arm-like coarse-skinned thing and tried to grab the underside and slide towards my self to find the hand. Except it wasn't my friend's arm, in fact it wasn't my friend at all! It was his boyfriend's leg, realizing this and being a devilish creature I turned my hand and tried to grab his toes.

  • For me I rarely actively try to visualize what's going on. Perhaps you haven't found something that really sparks your interest in reading, I've only started reading a couple of years back.

    Although, of course, I may be completely wrong and visualizing is a big part of reading that I simply haven't realized

  • RimWorld RTS, survival, colony builder. Survive, stranded, on a hostile planet filled with pirates, ancient mechanoids and giant killer bugs.

    You can play however you wish. I always end up playing as drugged-up organ-harvesting slave owners.

    There is a very detailed simulation of the human body, with each organ having it's own scars, damages and conditions, all affecting each other. There are also developed systems for drugs, combat, diseases, mood and mental breakdowns.

    Honestly it's simpler sci-fi Dwarf Fortress

  • I'm using a tiling window manager, so the placement and window decoration stuff I've never tried, but these things worked out without any tinkering for me:

    using a screen recording program to, ya know, record the screen;

    with wf-recorder or something

    launch graphical applications as a different user and have them interact natively with the rest of the desktop

    clipboard

    assign a hotkey or keycombo for an application, that can be fired from anywhere else in the desktop;

    being able to manufacture input events for keyboard, mouse, joystick etc... for when there are issues;

    all of these just came in with hyprland and appear to be common case. Hope all your requirements will be met soon!

  • Everyone here's talking about how their anesthesia takes 3 seconds to take effect. I've have surgery today and took a long ass time in comparison. I remember the anesthesiologist telling me, for the 4th or 5th time, "Breath in through you nose, breath out through your mouth." Then saying "Yeah you are already doing that." I think they where getting preoccupied about it.

    Apparently that's normal in my family, when my mother was getting local anesthesia to give birth to me, she was supposed to not even be able to move her legs. When a nurse was checking up on the anesthesia and asked her to try and rise a leg, she raised both of them really high and the nurse just went "oh fuck".

  • I've got a friend who was drinking 3 shots of coffee a day just to not melt from exhaustion, if not more. He decided to stop completely, sleept horibly for a week then he was great. Now one cup of coffee gets him really eletric.

    I've been almost a year without drinking considerable quantities of alcohol and it feels pretty good. In fact now I dislike drinking. Recently I drank half a shot of vodka and almost threw up.

    I'd think it's not about going to 0 coffee and staying like that, but about building a better relation to it. Like medicine. Take it when you need it, don't overdo it.
