  • I've been using the web player for Qobuz, and it appears to allow for high quality output--I'm streaming at 24bit/96kHz at the moment (though I'm no audiophile, so I guess I can't confirm that's what I'm actually getting).

    And apparently Qobuz pays the most per track of any streaming service, which is cool. The only thing it doesn't have is customizable "radio", but otherwise it's solid.

  • Orange juice isn't good unless you're juicing oranges you picked from some random person's yard in Florida. Best damn juice you've ever had.

    My hot take: spelling and grammar rules don't matter much, as long as you're getting your point across. That being said, when people use the word "everyday" as something other than an adjective, it drives me absolutely crazy (ex. "this is an everyday activity" is correct, but "I do this everyday" is not--that should be two separate words).

  • There already has been. But it turns out the ones that value "freedom of speech" and "libertarianism" all end up relatively small and isolated, or turn into Nazi bars.

    The majority of us are fine with letting instances and communities censor what they want. You can always create your own if you don't like the way others do it, or you can join one of the instances that have been cut off from the rest of the Fediverse.

  • I've used Armbian and DietPi. Currently running a magic mirror on a Rock64 and a NAS on an ODROID HC4. Of the two OSes, I think I'd recommend Armbian. Skip installing a DE and just get a basic X session with a simple web browser.

    Note that MagicMirror is web based, so the setup steps for putting up a web browser would be similar.

  • Everything would come to a halt, quite literally. Pretty much everything that moves using electricity uses magnets.

    The rest depends on what you mean by magnets. All magnetized materials? Now all computers and internet are gone. The ability to create magnetic fields using electricity? All manufacturing equipment becomes scrap metal. No magnetism anywhere with anything? The universe implodes.
