I waddled onto the beach and stole found a computer to use.

Note: I'm moderating a handful of communities in more of a caretaker role. If you want to take one on, send me a message and I'll share more info :)

  • I came into this thread to speak about wait times too, but you said it much better than I could have. Thank you :)

  • For anyone that doesn't agree with the decision in this article

  • Just set up a separate set of awards for AI artists and creators. Meat-bags and non-meat-bags can tune in if they care.

    Win win for everyone.

  • but not from the nostril

Is the injury on the outside part of the nose, and is the lab in person? Sometimes school/university labs will have first aid kits

    • the news isn't limited to this one article
    • publicizing news about the consequences of war, no matter the scale, incentivizes those involved to push for an end to conflict. Investors don't like it when companies have to spend money to rebuild things
  • Why wouldn't they, it doesn't seen like anyone is facing consequences for it.

  • News headlines are usually worded in a way that's accessible to most people, and then the article can go into detail about the topic. The other commenter said nothing about how products should or shouldn't be named. By "the wrong thing", they likely meant "things that the average person can recognize, but is not the best way to introduce the topic".

People who haven't heard of Forgejo will scroll past a headline that says "The German government has started a Forgejo instance", even if they were interested in the topic. They could have also said "code repository", but it's not as eye catching as "GitHub", a name and logo that a lot of people have seen before.

Also GitHub is the incumbent that is being replaced, and is relevant to the discussion

  • The eyes are closed as if to say resignedly

    "Goodbye cruel fluffy world."

  • The earliest known reference to a vending machine is in the work of Hero of Alexandria, an engineer and mathematician in first-century Roman Egypt. His machine accepted a coin and then dispensed wine2 or holy water.3 When the coin was deposited, it fell upon a pan attached to a lever. The lever opened a valve which let some wine flow out. The pan continued to tilt with the weight of the coin until it fell off, at which point a counterweight snapped the lever up and turned off the valve.

    Neat

  • No problem! I can confirm that we received a verification from a University of Toronto email address.

  • That comment is helping potential users vet your project before they use it, since not everyone has the motivation to go into the repo and take a look

  • I'm seeing some reports on this post from people who are suspicious about its legitimacy. It looks to be the same format as other Canadian university studies I've seen, and the fediverse is the right place to find people for such a study. To me it looks legitimate.

Maybe I can do a verification from the admin side? If you can send us an email from your institution account to support@lemmy.ca, I can leave a comment confirming that you are indeed from UofT.

  • Did they also promote the attribution removal?

  • America decides to tariff anyone using Chinese technology

America already decides to tariff countries regardless of what they're doing

  • What happens in family game night stays in family game night

  • I haven't seen that yet

  • Sliding is also acceptable

But combining it with a charged shot is more important

  • What kind of hardware are you using on the desktop?
