This seems simple enough

According to The Guardian, which covered the story earlier this week following the court’s first hearing on Monday, Atlanta resident Samuel Tunick is fighting the charges. Tunick’s attorneys said that it was unlawful for U.S. Customs and Border Protection to seize his phone as he arrived back in the U.S. last year and that any evidence — including the alleged wiping of his phone — should be thrown out.

The US Department of Justice is attempting to prosecute an Atlanta resident in connection with the movement against the police training center known as Cop City because he had GrapheneOS on his phone, an open-source operating system that enables users to enter a passcode and wipe a phone clean.

The defendant, Sam Tunick, was stopped for interrogation at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport on 24 January last year, after vacationing in the Dominican Republic. Unbeknown to him, federal authorities had put him on a terrorism watchlist because of his alleged association with the movement against Cop City.
Opposition to the $109m police training center, which opened last spring, came from a wide range of local and national organizations and protesters, centered on concerns around police militarization and clearing forests in an era of climate crisis. Atlanta police said the center was needed for “world-class” training and to attract new officers.
Several state attempts to prosecute Cop City protesters have foundered in the last several years, while this is the second recent federal effort, after the justice department announced another indictment last month.

For anyone that wants it, you can use GeoShare to interconvert between different map/location service links. When I tapped the Google maps link in this post, it opened in GeoShare and I could use the map app of my choice.

That only works for people who are higher up in their field of work, since they can pick and choose who they work for

Most people going for junior/entry level roles don't have that luxury

Signal (or a similar messaging platform) for private stories / content intended for specific people

A "private" instagram account or story was never actually private, but that distinction is still helpful when recommending alternatives IMO

Then you can use something like libredirect with kittygram to view any Instagram only content in a privacy respecting way, like if you open a link

The mod in !selfhosted@lemmy.world has done a good job of updating the rules to deal with those. It seems like some SEO or supply chain scheme.

The ones mentioned in OP seem to be one user that is spreading their questions around multiple accounts, which isn't necessarily a bad thing if they're posted at a rate that would be fine with a single account, and if they aren't using more than one account in a particular thread.

From what I remember about the deletion pattern, one of the accounts claimed to be doing it for mental health reasons. Whether that is true or not, to me it felt like they were creating bait posts to rile people up. People saw through it most of the time

We do have bots, but at least some of the weird activity mentioned in this post seems to be from a handful of real people that are using the platform in a weird way

Legal requests by law enforcement / government can often be followed up on. If someone was unmasked in a way that could be used in court, then we'd see it being used in court?

Each instance is run by a different team, often based in different countries and jurisdictions. Day to day, the main differences will be around content policies (moderation, how openly federated it is)

It's like picking between different email providers, just that all have more or less the same features.

Github is important for recruiters, especially non technical ones that aren't familiar with the alternatives. Since OP has the motivation for it, having a second place might show off that OP understands git beyond Github, or the values OP might share with the employer.
