  • Who's upset here? I'm certainly not.

  • Is my sentence so vague that it appears I'm saying that? Discourse is harder when you deviate from the format.

  • Buttery mails.

  • Agreed. One layer of the onion peeled. Next layer is that all of the content you see is curated and you only are fed fits your profile as dictated by the algorithm. You are served more dopamine hits and churn a lot of nothing.

There's another layer of the onion next. Let's hear what it is.

  • Yeah, I understand. Meta is invasive, pervasive, and becomes endemic. I'm in Mexico looking for a place to live. The country runs on WhatsApp.

  • Maybe, but it's an onion of a problem.

We all know how much FB spreads disinfo and brain rot. The positive effect of disabling it feels as significant as the negative effect on freedom of speech.

The dichotomy is very much analogous to how I feel about tiktok bans.

  • 100%. The entire time I was typing it, I thought, "events like this just expose the magnitude of the dark underbelly."

  • I always forget how low the bar for "average" is. But for the average person to realize how epically stupid Trump and his goons are takes things like this to happen.

What gets me more depressed is that nearly 4.1 billion people on earth are below average.

    We are governed by goobers.

  • Definitely making the same fast-reading mistakes I do all the time. Game recognises game.

  • So they can find someone more against the USPS. Cool.

  • 5 days. I was fully hallucinating things that weren't there by the time I finally crashed. I worked a 4x10 at a job 1 hour to, 3 home commute because of traffic, plus school, plus had an active band.

  • Very saved.

  • Yeah, 11 years makes sense. I've also heard 10,000 hours. Congrats on your change in life. You have a great attitude.

  • I'm 48. You have ages. Do it now or you'll be me remembering when I was you.

Jobs are just a means to live life. If you can make money doing something you love, great. But if you can't, use the money from work to pursue your hobbies and interests.

I travel (I'm on a flight to Queretaro, Mexico right now), paint, play music, run a D&D game, and snowboard. I also speak several languages like you. Use them or lose them, literally.

Live a full life; your job doesn't define you.

  • This has been my position since I was a teenager: centrists are the weak underbelly because they can't pick a side and just want a middle ground.

Great sentiment, but you never have a side, a cause, and your "meaning" is always shifting to placate everyone else in the name of middleness.

  • I'm not. "The others" implies richies like Elmo.

  • When did I fucking support Leon in my statement? I'm stating that they're so deplorable and rich they don't care nor need to hide it.
