  • Struggled to find beer that I like in usa- I've not been there much though.

    It's increasingly hard here though (UK).

    Shitty lager, or hipster-grapefruit-jizz or guiness is the normal choice in most pubs, and even in many so called "real ale" pubs, those of them still left. A decent pint of bitter is hen's teeth these days. I guess fashions change and there's no money in old style beers that I prefer. You can't argue with the bottom line.

    I find shitty lager in US is not as nice as shitty european lager - it just seems to have an odd taste - but it's not what i want to drink.. I guess german/czech lager is about as good as it gets, for lager/pils - but still not very flavourful.

    Belgium is good, but not really for a session beer. It's for a different type of drinking.

  • Haha, i'd write a thousand pages of documentation before entering ticket hell. I fact I do put a lot of information into the ticket - they still won't read it though and i'll have to repeat myself 15 times to 5 different people.

    The solution to this problem. . . I have no idea, but I'm sure they'll appoint another delivery manager who will get hired by the ones who already know fuck-all to know less than them.

    I've found that the few managers who want documentation, get documentation, and the others who want tickets and "story points", get tickets and fictional bullshit - in general.___

  • No idea. The 'typical meterological year' is likely smooth some extremes - that will likely have less variance than any actual year. Maybe the geographical resolution is poor leading to more averaging. But that sounds a bit large of a difference to be just that. Was the total annual production way out?

    Check some other tools , maybe a local one - another one might have better data on some things. Some consensus of several estimates might be better than relying on one calculator only.

  • It's very circumstantial, slope and orientation make a big difference. so it has to be a calculator where you put in specific information.

    There'd nbe loads of others. I'd expect most reputable solar installers aimed at residential to have calculators, or recommend one as part of the planning process. Maybe with localised assumptions. There's one from a govt funded body in my country that makes cost and price assumptions too tand gives a 'return on investment' guess.

    I doubt it's the main cause, widespread cultural phenomena are normally mostly generated by social interactions (words) and reinforcement, and demagogues (or so they often over-claim).

    Poison like that will impact a fairly small proportion and takes a long time to impact and spread. Seems unlikey to be anything major. Besides which many more sources of lead poisoning from paint and leaded petrol, and water pipes and stuff - not specifiic to US and not specific to guns.

  • Your heritage at that (extremely long span of ) time might be a small shrew/rat/squirrel like creature that scuttled around at the time of large dinosaurs. Probably hiding from the the small to medium sized dinos. Too small to be of note to the large ones. Adaptable enough to survive the mass extinction - maybe small, agile, mobile, omnivorous and so on.

    Of course the dinos changed a lot over that time - as would the mammals. I think Purgatorius is from near the K-T extinction.

    There were other larger mammmals around but probably none much bigger than a wolf / lynx/ capybara type thing. I think those types are considered less likely to have evolved into primates and also some might have evolved and re-evolved into something else many millions of years before the K-T extinction.
