The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

  • .ml replaces certain words with "removed"

In this case it seems to have been this term.

The "r" word will be removed too.

I haven't noticed what the others are. I swear fairly often and those haven't been removed. I would guess only things that are slurs etc.

Edit: It was removed from my link as well. LOL. Look up "gap in suit of armor" if you haven't figured it out already. Kinda ironically, when it's used as a slur it's against chinese people.

  • Putin, nibbling his ear.

  • As much as I like the thought, I've been to Mt. Rushmore and I don't think vandalizing it would be easily achieved. Maybe with a drone or paintball gun - the first time - after that I think they'd be prepared. There is national parks apparatus surrounding it IIRC.

  • Anti-trump tech bros start going out windows, I can already predict all the ways maga will dismiss the similarities to every person who disagrees with putin doing the same.

Well it's only been three people so far. That's not much of a pattern...

And on and on from there.

  • I don't know how to link comments across instances correctly, but you should see the other comment in reply to the same person you replied to, posted 4 hours before yours. It answers the very question you are asking. From @alvvayson@lemmy.dbzer0.com

  • Fair, I was just feeling extra saucy about all this bullshit this morning. Sorry.

  • Oh heck I will delete.

  • Nah. They had his first term to figure it out. Then they had every time he's opened his mouth since then, the 2020 debates, the 2024 campaign, all the news about Project 2025, the JD Vance "I will lie if that's what it takes" moment, and so very many more.

And when Trump looked like he might be imploding a few months ago, they all started jumping ship, and distancing themselves. And the moment he was back in power the sucking up began again.

Oh, you meant the folks who aren't in office who only voted for him?

How many of them spent his first term writing to their Republican representatives complaining about them being in bed with white nationalists? How many of them registered their displeasure about project 2025? How many of them wrote in to tell their representatives that the lies about the 2020 election were destroying the nation? How many wrote in to tell off their representatives for objecting to the certification of the 2020 election? How many wrote in to complain when every single Republican in the House of Representatives voted against investigating the penetration of white nationalists into the military and law enforcement? How many wrote in to stand up for Kinzinger, Liz Cheney, and Mitt Romney, all of whom I also don't like, but who were the only R to speak truth to power in his first term?

A vanishingly small percentage, that's how many. Because if it weren't, this wouldn't be true:

  • Police actions are the sole reason for the loss of trust. It's accelerated recently because we've all got what would once have been a godlike camera in our pockets now and the means to share those videos globally.

Don't worry, Trump will get around to fucking that up too.

  • Not me. I still want a bodycam. And am still disgusted that the person checking for police wrongdoing will just be... the police.

  • It’s really really easy to just think the entire voting group of his are nazi fascists who wanted all the terrible things he’s going to do

Describes all the trumpers in my sphere.

  • 77,284,117 to go...

  • Because the people who voted for him think it’s a good thing that he’s cancelling those things. They want him to dismantle “big government” because they’ve been mislead into believing that the reason they’re struggling financially is somehow because of wasteful government spending.

You can’t attack Trump by criticising him for things people want him to do.

The people who voted for him aren't going to change their minds regardless, or they'll decide we just need someone even worse. I want to see some fucking fighting (not physical fighting - some fire from these democrats!), not finger wagging. We had four years of fucking finger wagging when we should have been locking him up.

That all of Trump’s promises will amount to nothing, and that their financial struggles are only going to get worse under him.

I'm thinking they are going to get that message pretty quick now with all federal aid and grants cut. It will still be Biden's fault to them, like the folks who went to their death from covid swearing it was a hoax.

Sorry, at this point I could give a shit about what Trump's voters think or whether they turn on him. Sure, it will be satisfying when it happens, but they aleady absolutely fucked us all, and I no longer even think I have an idea where the bottom is going to be. Fuck them. Whatever embers of empathy I may have tried to preserve for them all these years is gone. They have fucked themselves, they have fucked the rest of us, and barring a literal miracle I doubt anyone over 40 has much chance of seeing things righted within their lifetime.

  • I wonder how bad it will get before a single Trump voter realizes what they've done.

  • I'll go a step further. Motherfucker cancelled all federal grants and aid, AMONG OTHER acutely awful executive orders.

How about Democrats "slam" Trump for dismantling our government and actively harming our nation from the first moment he was inaugurated? The time to fight about egg prices ended Nov 07.

Let me see some of this energy Dems! (and from someone other than AOC and Bernie. WTH is wrong with the rest of you!)

  • Just a temper tantrum that will hurt a lot of people.

  • Well sure NOW, three days later....

    😉

  • Well, if we still have a nation four years from now, someone who cares about consumer protection might do something about that.

I'll try hard not to become a troll posting this under every headline, but that's my reaction to just about every article now of this sort.

Company, Republican Politician, or Billionaire does something clearly unethical and probably illegal, which is officially noted and reported on.

Yeah, and? It's not a non-wealthy citizen, a democrat, or an entity targeted by maga as woke, so we can be sure the impact of this information will be most likely zero.

We are on the stupidest, bitterest timeline.
