  • I had a plex pass and was still having tons of issues streaming to other devices such as Apple TV. So I switched everything over to jellyfin with news server and have everything scheduled through radarr and sonarr. Never going back.

  • It does this because it inherently hallucinates. It's just an analytical letter guesser that sounds human because it amalgamates and predicts the next word. It's just gotten so much input that it can sound human. But it has no concept of right and wrong. Even when you tell it that it's wrong. It doesn't understand anything. That's why it sucks. And that's why it will always suck. It will not replace search because it makes shit up. I use it for coding here and there as well and it's just making up functions that don't exist or attributes functions to packages that aren't real.

  • My family agrees that Israel learned nothing from the fascism that their families escaped and fought against and believes Israel is committed to nazism against Arabs. But my ex’s family is the typical liberal Zionist family that attributes all of this at the feet of hamas and Netanyahu. It’s a form of delusion that prevents any dialogue about the subject. They read passages from the Passover Seder with absolutely zero connecting of the dots to the horrors the state of Israel is committing against a helpless population. It completely makes clear to me how Hitler came into power and it makes me sad.

  • It’s not good because it has no context on what is correct or not. It’s constantly making up functions that don’t exist or attributing functions to packages that don’t exist. It’s often sloppy in its responses because the source code it parrots is some amalgamation of good coding and terrible coding. If you are using this for your production projects, you will likely not be knowledgeable when it breaks, it’ll likely have security flaws, and will likely have errors in it.
