That plus 4 looks very nice, but it is just a little out of my price range unfortunately and it also seems like the Qidi box will not be compatible with the Q1 Pro, but I still feel like multi filament printing with a single print head is a wasteful gimmick.
Yeah Im pretty happy with my A1 mini myself, but moving from a bed slinger to a core xy I think will be a nice change on some of the bigger or taller prints as well as the bigger build volume which yes, doesnt quite match the A1's 256^3, but its really not much smaller (245x245x240).
Looking at the reviews and price it really does seem to be the sweet spot for stepping up my 3d printing game. Ive been watching reviews for a good chunk of the last couple days, trying to find as many as I can that are more recent than 11 months ago when everyone was reviewing machines they just got and instead reviewing machines theyve actually put through the paces.
At the moment ABS and PETG, but Im also just interested in expanding my capabilities and refining print quality. Im an engineering student and will very likely find uses for this printer in school projects and definitely in my own projects. If I ever need XL prints or want to get into multimaterial, Prusa is gonna be my go to.
TPU pretty completely bonds between layers, there's not the same risks associated with pla and petg. Printing TPU can be a bit of a hassle so if you're using it to prototype make sure you tune your profile for TPU. I think it's a great idea.
TPU is what I'd suggest. You don't need a enclosure and it should work for what you want. It's a finicky material though so be prepared to spend some time getting to know it, figuring out it's temps and speeds is a must for good prints.
A folder called 3d printing has most of the stl and 3mf files arranged by date modified. Nested in there are folders for specific projects that have revisions or are remixes I've done, but I'd like to overhaul the whole system to something that makes a little more sense. I like the idea of a git for my own projects, I've already lost revisions by not paying attention and overwriting the old ones.
Orca stores my filament and profile settings, haven't found a reason to export those.
Yeah I'm fine with copying prints via sd card, and that's what I'm doing for the moment. A1 mini came very fast and I just did the tug boat classic first print
Ugh I didn't even think about that, the data collecting. After some research I think I should be able to mitigate that with lan only mode or just some firewall rules or pihole blocking. Thank you for the link!
I was looking at the sunlu s1 and s2 for a filament dryer. The s2 sounds kinda glitchy but functional, and the biggest complaint of the s1 seems to be the 55C max temp.
If my humidity is usually 20% or lower where I live is it likely I can just skip a filament dryer for now?
Digging deeper into the comments it seems someone found the message was from a compromised polyfill code that was running on IA. Now the website is down from a ddos. From what I can see there's no reason to believe their servers and the data therein have been compromised.
Maybe if Harris would actually post a policy plan I'd have more enthusiasm about her. Real frustrating to see another Dem candidate trying to appear progressive while actively saying nothing and towing party line.
