  • I don't believe for a moment that Greene has suddenly started to ponder the basic principles of governance she's been so happy to disregard.

Usually autocrats ensure their continued power by delivering power and trinkets to their supporters. I can only assume this is why republicans consistently express vapid support for such an obviously inept leader.

It really feels like Greene has been pushed off Trump's teat and she has decided to shit the bed on her way out. This seems a lot more on-brand for her.

  • Predictably, jobs are down and inflation is up. Both about to get a lot worse. Exactly what everyone said would happen.

The tarries impose a heavy tax burden on working America while millionaires are getting tax cuts.

    Rise up.

  • This is so pathetic.

Great leaders are honored by their people. They don't need to honor themselves with these baubles.

Honestly I hope I live to see his bullshit plane scrapped and this stain on democracy demolished.

  • I'd never heard of the XY Problem before.

I get it - big opportunity to waste lots of time.

However, while I've never posted a question on stack overflow or similar, a common complaint is that it's a toxic community because of responses related to this problem - a user asks about X and is accused of asking about Y and most responses undermine the premise being question Z.

  • I have been fiddling with trying to build a Dockerfile and container

  • Haven't they already announced what he's going to do? I heard it on a podcast in February or something, I'm not sure I remember. Maybe running as vice president to someone else and then that someone else resigning. IDK.

  • Imagine if one day there was an investigation into everything that was done and the instigators were prosecuted.

  • I'm sure most plugs have identical features.

  • I love watching politicians try to understand the internet.

VPNs have loads of vanilla use cases.

It would be infinitely more productive to regulate the predatory practices of stream providers and reduce the incentive for piracy.

  • Well, I'd like to be surprised that POTUS was visiting a rape island, but having observed Trump for nearly a decade it's entirely predictable that he would do that given the opportunity.

I think you could sort the members and supporters of his regime broadly into 3 categories:

    • there's the MAGA people who are on board because they're sick of the wokerati telling them what to do. They're not really "engaged" with the politics. These are the "leopards ate my face" types.
    • there's the apathetic conservatives who are trying not to look too closely, don't necessarily like Trump, but support conservative policies and aren't going to oppose him.
    • then there's the active supporters like the FBI agents reviewing the files or republicans voting not to release them. They're complicit for their own benefit.
  • Oh man. Kinda triggered by this.

In my early 20s, (20 years ago) I became entangled with my first girlfriend. It was awful, but I somehow believed that relationships were about "making it work" which I interpreted to mean coping with whatever abuse.

She was a compulsive liar. I'd never encountered anything like that before.

I remember thinking that her lies were my fault because I'd asked her about something that she didn't want to tell the truth about. Wow, that was a trip.

  • This stuff is getting so comical.

"Trump farted on a photo of Kamala"

"Trump is going to ban the use of the word digit"

"Trump is going to sue the producers of south park, bluey, and coldplay"

"Trump totally did not rape a 13 year old because she looked like his daughter"

"Trump has banned transgender people from using any toilet of any kind"

  • I feel like anyone suggesting this has never interacted with a child.

Perhaps surprisingly, most kids will happily pick fruit for say, 15 minutes.

If you want them to do it for 40 hours a week that's going to require some extreme motivation.

  • Sync is one of those things that seems like it should be trivial but is actually super complicated.

  • Sure does sound pretty toxic.

  • The term has had so many definitions its not really meaningful.

  • I just message my partner like a troglodyte.

  • If the only thing stopping your partner from cheating is location sharing then you've got problems.

  • Gonna be a wake up call

Sadly I don't think that will be the case.
