  • Oh cool, now they've finally caught up to my Navidrome server

  • Boot licker = person who applies critical thought over bloodlust

    TIL

  • Yeah, kinda what I thought. It's a cute way to virtue-signal an try to justify the bloodlust, but it just really doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

  • What's the strategy associated with this particular assassination that make it a necessary step in ending a dictatorship? What's the next step?

  • There's a moral distinction between celebrating the fact that an awful person is dead and celebrating violence against horrible people.

If he choked on a Goya bean and died, you'd still be morally justified in being happy about it.

  • Why would the absence of capitalism suddenly make it viable to host such a platform?

  • Navidrome + ListenBrainz + Bandcamp (and a little Soulseek) = unshittification

  • You're welcome to host such a platform. Won't be easy to keep it running without funding though.

  • Which is why it's: reduce, reuse, recycle -- in that order.

Then sorry to say, but you failed miserably.

  • I am very glad that someone, anyone, is calling out this administration on it's criminal acts.

A random on social media? There's plenty of those calling that out.

  • MusicBrainz Picard is your friend.

  • Not useless -- you have a future in tiny, embedded systems.

  • This is the way

  • It's fascinating that you're surprised to see people are hyped up about a sequel to a critically acclaimed game.

It would be weird if they weren't, right?

  • It is decidedly weird, and it's something docker handles very poorly.

  • Of course retail daytraders don't stand a chance against firms who do this for a living. Nor did anyone say that predictions are 100% accurate.

Doesn't change the fact that predicting changes in the markets based on previous trends is nothing like Astrology.

  • The last loop I'm trying to close is notifications for new releases from artists I subscribe to.

I found this, but it has no documentation so I haven't tried it yet: https://github.com/provokateurin/musicbrainz-rss-generator

Edit: Nevermind, I somehow missed the Explore page in ListenBrainz that does this automatically (and has its own RSS feed).

  • Yeah I mean the obvious answer is that making predictions based on analysing past data is obviously nothing like Astrology.
