  • Brain gets no more blood. Neural biochemistry breaks down. Brain dies. You die. That’s it. Except for some incoherent and contradictory texts from bronze-age books or wishful thinking by naive people, there is ZERO scientific evidence that heaven or reincarnation exist. Even Buddha never suggested we would reincarnate, that was an idea added later by some of his followers. The bible is very flimsy on the entire concept of hell and heaven.

  • Nothings scares me. There are a lot of things not going well (climate collapse, extinctions, rise of the extreme right, wars), but as long as I can contribute a little money and time to help other people (and organisms), vote, be politically active, as long as I can do that I have a feeling of being in control and that works wonders against fear.

  • There is indeed a very small scientific community that has some (very preliminary) research done on a “nervous system” in plants. The wood-wide-web is part of those hypothesis. It is very intriguing, but reading the interviews with these scientists and their publications didn’t leave me with the impression that plants feel emotions, or that they think, are cognitive or learn from pain. Do you have scientific data to proof otherwise?

  • Overall, most humans agree that it is morally wrong to make other creatures suffer. Eating meat, or dairy, definitely leads to animal suffering (it actual leads to human suffering too).
