  • Throw the book at them! I got a case so bad I nearly broke my skull and the bog cracked.

  • You’re right. Booooooooooooooooo!

  • Jack Vance.

  • Country and/or western?

  • Ratatouille. It’s delicious, vegan, super easy to make and easy to adapt to “what’s available”.

  • Yes, they are. They often actually need individuals to make their case, I know of several examples.

  • I’ve been traveling to and through the United States for the last 50 years. If there is one homogeneous continent it must be USA. It is not as if you can easily find an original Polish, Norwegian, English, Spanish or god forbid, Native American bar. The vast majority of bars and restaurants are the same, whether you are in Boston Hawaii or Texas. Sorry mate, the delusion that the USA consist of many different cultures is just that; a well functioning indoctrination.

  • In data privacy cases there are ALWAYS people that will sue - there are collectives with money and lawyers.

  • Yep that’s the storyline US American kids probably get beaten into them at school 🤭 which doesn’t mean you have to believe it. Returning to the hospitality industry, just consider McDonalds, Wendy’s, Burger King and all these restaurant and bar chains.

  • There are no ghosts.

  • I don’t understand how these glasses will work in the EU, where filming other people is against the law.

  • It’s the same all over the world, although the UK definitely leads in original or funny names - which date back to times when people still couldn’t read. In France you will have a lot of places called the Cheval Blanc or other colored horses. In Germany, zum Ochsen, die Sonne, die Linde abound, anything that allowed the patrons to quickly find the locale.

  • The USA is multicultural ? That’s a new one.

  • Eleven downvotes, great to get the hairs up 🤭

  • How do the developers get paid then?

  • +++ Climate change is going to lead to more healthcare challenges and will lead to increased cost of living (insurance, foodstuffs , energy). Switch to solar energy, lead a more modest life with local products (support local producers) become a vegetarian, lead by example. +++ More international conflict: Russia/Nato states, USA/China, China/APJ, Africa. Make sure passport is up to date, look at options to quickly leave. Buy local produce, stock up water and food. +++ AI may lead to a stock market crash. Diversify your savings (you should do that anyway). It will lead to shifts in the job market (like the steam engine, the internet). Adapt or become irrelevant. +++ States are becoming more rightwing / fascist. Be politically active, vote for the right party, change the party and system from within, donate to the right projects, speak out, use the skills you are good at to make a change. +++ Enjoy life, it could well be the best is already behind us. Be kind, be friendly, help people. Have a plan.

  • Let’s be fair: subscriptions are everywhere. Netflix, arthouse , MUBI, Deezer, Spotify. But also cars, bikes, the heat pump -anything that needs maintenance has a regular reoccurring maintenance fee, which can be seen as a subscription, to keep the thing running. Apps need updates (maintenance) too, to keep them running and secure. One reason for the criticism against subscriptions is that people lose sight of all the things that they are subscribed to, as an individual you need stringent subscription control.
