  • I think everybody agrees that "digital ownership must be respected". But if you check, you don't own the games. You own licences. You may keep the licence after servers shut down. It is total BS, but we allowed it.

    I have to agree that killing online only games makes sense because they can't be forced to run the server forever, not they can be forced to release the source code. But offline / solo / bots should keep working.

  • I'm assuming they didn't. Their finances are probably based on stocks, which are the most bullshit thing ever. Trumpo does something stupid, stocks fall, and millios of dollars just 🌈disapear🌈. Just like that. Where did they go? Nowhere! Duh! But wait, when money magically shows up on a good day that stocks go up, doesn't that affect the economy lime printing more money?   • It can be 1000x faster because it analog. Analog things take very very little time to compute stuff. We don't generally use them because they are very hard to get the same result twice and updating is also hard

  • Kind of. If i told the teacher "they were bothering me so i decided to bother them", both our parents would get called. Neither of us is innocent. They didn't " bump into me" by accident. They do it on purpose and everybody is asking them to stop. So they really can't complain.

  • No. A bully literally goes out of their way to attack people. They go find their victims because they want to do that.

    I'm just passing by and do something they can 100% just ignore. However, looking at the army of down votes that hit all of their comments, I suspect I'm not the only one annoyed. Their posts are like getting a spam call. You can ignore them or you can have a little fun with the spammers

    Of would be healthy for them to block me, but I hope instead they just stop it, because they actually say interesting things, and you can see how they just get a lot of down votes because they are annoying everyone. It's basically spam

    The internet is no long just a network of computers. It has at least 2 centralized points

    • icaan controls names and numbers. That includes DNS and IP addresses. When the Ukraine Russia war started they were asked to disconnect Russia from the internet by rejecting their IPS. They said no, but COULD have yes. Also, companies like google and amazon can get their own TLD (.aws and .ggl) you you and I can't because we are not buddies with them
    • certificate authorities: there is a fucking huge list of companies that are allowed to sign certificates. No, you can't just get on that list, you have to ask permission and be audited. If ONE of them fucks up, there are serious consequences for EVERYBODY (yes, I know certificate pinning is a thing, but still)

    Edit: oh. Also email. Want to host your own email? Good luck, everything is marked as spam, and you can't do it on a home connection because the port is blocked
