  • I disagree. Down vote, shame, and then move on.

  • Is there a post from the admins? I'd love to see it.

  • I get it. But until the mod maybe wakes up, the best we can do is push bad content down.

  • That's why I made this shitty comic. People need to not block, but heavily down vote this behavior. I will die on this hill. I'm not going to look, but it is at least hundreds of posts that this fuck makes with the intent of hurting artists.

The whole "don't feed the troll" thing needs to be inversely applied here. Downvote all of it. Period. For every post that this idiot troll makes, there is at least 1 person that doesn't see or care what's going on and they'll download the image without attribution, share it, and the problem continues.

  • They can. In the case of lemmy.world, it requires an email.

  • I don't think that is the case. It is an A class troll. Trolling is maybe the result of mental illness, though.

  • I have to say they this is a serious answer. It works and do this for RSS

  • I am too embarrassed over quality to add a signature. I did this in like 20 mins on my tablet.

  • There is one mod. They haven't been active in months.

  • In general, I agree. But in this case, my opinion (and I am open to suggestions here) is that it needs to be called to attention because the sole mod is Inactive. This troll's actions cause passive harm to artists.

It isn't just being a troll in comments. For that? Sure, whatever. But when it can cause actual harm to artists? I take issue there.

I get that "harm" here is kind of subjective. Artists make pennies on click (at most, and that's if they are relatively successful).

Making the comics less discoverable is more than a slight, imo.

  • My opinion is that blocking prevents attention to the issues at hand. The people that are just casually viewing won't block, see a good comic, upvote, and move on.

The real issue here is that there is a non-zero amount of these users that will save an edited comic and then share it. These posts should be proactively shamed and called out.

  • Is there a post about this somewhere?

  • It also leads to bad actors continually being upvoted.

  • I love ferrets so much. They love playing and are ultra cute. I just wish I could stand the smell.

  • I both love and hate you for introducing me to this.

  • Oh man, the compression did me dirty.

  • OK, this one hit me in the feels.

  • Fuck off. No one, and I mean no one here or likely anywhere agrees with your anti artist stance. Go. Please.
