If you always liked apples but all of a sudden there’s a type of orange you like, would you question why you like this orange, or would you just accept that you like this type of orange, or maybe you like both apples and oranges. If you both you like each other, and want something then that’s all that should matter.

— H1-B visa man goes to a restaurant. Restaurant staff are racists, QOL degrades, H1-B visa man rethinks staying long term in the U.S.
— H1-B visa man enrolls children in private school. Private school staff is religious fundies, and education at a public level would be cheaper and better in another country. QOL degrades, H1-B visa man decides to move from the U.S.
For most skilled immigrants the calculus is based around money and what they get out of it, you shouldn’t expect there’s any intrinsic worth to staying in the U.S. if standards are shit and qualify of life degrades.
So in simple terms, you’ll have dumber people on average in house and smarter people on average in other countries.
The win wasn’t about any culture related stuff, don’t spread that idea.
People voting republican will always be stupider on average, and they genuinely believed that the tariffs were going to help them.
All of this is related to the economy, which retail execs helped worsen because of price increases. It’s all economic pressures being painted as cultural stuff.
The culture war is a distraction, the only real thing is the class war. Once people have better economic conditions, they’re flexible on sorts of social progress. Look at the Nordic countries ffs.
Countries which want to save themselves from fascism and oligarchs should implement the Nordic model at scale.
It’s easy to say “we’re just separated by time and space” but that discounts why there’s no evidence of current or past life even somewhere close like Mars, where life on Earth formed after the formation of Mars. Why can’t we find simple cell fossils?
It could be that life formation is a slow process, or rare process, so that means intelligent life may be even rarer. To me that means every wasted human life and potential is a crime on a cosmic level. The most precious commodity in the universe may be the human brain, as far as we know.
If there is another intelligent species that develops space travel, then we better hope to God that they’re woke otherwise why wouldn’t we logically expect them to do to us what we do to cows or chickens.

Seems the country is being run by lunatics, not sure how America is going to survive this. There’s no such thing as a planned and controlled economic collapse, wonder what happens if another country pounces on America while it’s trying to recover. But lol if you want systemic food shortages this is a great way to go. Farm labor isn’t easy, it can’t be carried out by someone who is addicted enough to the point that they need this farm to get better. Farm labor needs to be reliant and self-directed, and drug addicts are not reliable and can barely direct their lives.
