  • There is a lot of people that speak english as a second or third language often they just don't know correct english toponims or idioms, sometimes it's just happens. English for a lot of people isn't objective by itself just a means to an end.

  • Thank you for detailed responce. For some people it might be just a habit, I'm sure most people aren't against using equivalent names if they exist. Just never occured to me that it would be pretentious, for example until you mentioned that Praha is Prague in English it didn't click with me.

  • There is no mention of catalan in my post because it wasn't about catalan. 🙃

  • Fair but unkind. People talk weird most of the time. 😺

  • But that's how c is pronounced in castillian, no? What's pretentious about it?

  • Thank you! Ai tagging sound like a super cool feature hope it works well enough.

  • With (general) search engines being on decline for years that looks not all that probable. No popular search engine even searches what you asked it to search more of what you probably meant if you were as dumb as their ai thinks you are.

  • A bit too cheap but they can be real, e.g. some cards that worked in crypto-mining for years with customized firmware that allowed them to run faster and hotter. They are somewhat unpredictable and can be half dead or work as intended for many years.

  • Imagine you are running a marathon and someone ahead of you losses three bananas that were stuffed in their ass.

  • What? Jellyfin doesn't need any "suite"? You can use it with your collection obtained whatever way.

  • You can buy vps in china that would be locally accessible, for homelabs and the like there are tools like frp, rathole. (I am not from china)

  • Akregator, it works.

Feeds, dunno news sites (ars technica, phoronix). A lot of random blogs and articles, some forums (acoup.blog, aeon.co). Some youtube channels (most in my language, isaac arthur, AvE).

  • Babying it is pretty new and somewhat cultish behaviour, my grandfather just used it and washed as normal, the only babying it needs is a huge temperature differences can break it. Stainless steel and high carbon steel pans are better.

  • The process where you wash it as clean as possible then apply oil and put into oven.

  • I don't really think about looking for special detergent without lye when buying (dunno why people say that dish detergent in general doesn't contain it anymore), re-frying it once in a while makes the surface more smooth.

  • I just wash it as normal, you just need to re-fry/season it once in in 3-5 months or so. People that don't wash it usually let it become rusted and dirty as well.

  • You are lucky, in my previous flat there were hoarders-alcoholics that lived on the next floor, one day they brought mice with whatever shit they decided to take. At first they were contained on their floor, but after a while they were everywhere. Cat played with them at first >_< and then got bored. After 10 or so that traps killed (in a month) I moved out.

  • They rarely need to in the city, also those that weren't taught by other cats most of the time won't kill the mouse just torture it or scare.

  • Lol what? It isn't as far as I can tell.
