  • Visit VoteWA.gov ! You can also check your registration status, update your address, and see if your ballot has been received/accepted.

    And if you are going to be out of town, you can also set up a temporary seasonal address so your ballot gets mailed to wherever you will be.

  • I was a SketchUp make guy back in the day and was able to stick with it a long time but it's so old it isn't working right for me anymore (Linux).

    Plasticity is about the closest thing I have found. I paid about 175 the other day and plan to use this version for the next 10 years.

  • While pretty much everyone here is taking a moment to talk about beans, peas are higher in a lot of nutrients and a lot easier to digest (I think they are tastier to). You can often get them frozen in bulk if you don't want to deal with dried and they can disappear into a lot of recipes.

    Consider backing up your rice dishes with peas if you aren't a bean fan.

  • Whether or not other artists deserve more attention is kind of beside the point. The point is that people are complicated and multifaceted and both good and bad things can come out of a person. None of us are all one thing.

    Clearly JK created something that was loved around the world, but clearly she also doesn't know how to coexist and empathize beyond her prejudices. The bad thing didn't erase the good thing from existence, but it certainly complicates our relationship with it.

  • Someone who has been having adult relationships for 15 years is going to be able to convince somebody with 0 years of adult relationships of whatever they want. Whether you feel happy or loved, eventually that power imbalance has a high chance of causing serious problems for you that you couldn't have seen coming.

    Do it if you want, but go into it knowing that you are probably just a toy and probably won't know until you are set up for a really bad time when you finally see all the things you are currently blind to.

    If you need an analogy, think about having a cooking competition between a beginner and a 15 year professional. The beginner probably has no idea how hard they are about to get smoked if they are thinking about their opponent as just another person who likes to cook.

  • If you are looking for an alternative, after I left Bazzite I switched to Garuda. Is also gaming and performance focused and has been a dream for me.

  • Other than the fact that you are investing way too much time on the opinion of one random person on the Internet...

    The easiest thing to point to is that systems are complex. While you are attributing the problem I had to specific programming which may have been changed, the fact is that it could easily be a symptom of a completely different problem. Overlooking common needs? Behind on updates? Accidentally breaking things in the software?

    Trying to account for and analyze everything can be a mental trap.

    Sometimes you just have to say "ok, that's a data point" and see if of indicates a trend without getting dragged into the black hole of trying to account for everything and resolve it.

    I don't care if my leaving Bazzite was justified or premature, the important data point is that it doesn't work for all beginners. Bazzite didn't feel right to me, it felt awkward and forced in a way Garuda never did.

    Pointing out that they may have fixed a problem doesn't undo the experience I had. Proving they fixed something specific doesn't undo that problems can and do exist.

    I am happy if others love Bazzite, out want great for this beginner.
