  • From my testing, if you use multiple accounts, some clients will close any communities or posts you have open when you switch accounts. Blorp doesn’t do that.

To be fair, it looks like Photon handles this pretty gracefully. Tesseract is a close 2nd, but probably good enough for most people’s needs. Blorp and Photon handled throwing a private instance in the mix, while Tesseract didn’t.

As far as mobile apps, Voyager will close any open posts or other content when switching accounts. Interstellar doesn’t seem to let me switch accounts while I have a post open.

Blorp and Photon will actually go as far as to help you identify which of your accounts you can switch to see a specific post or community. Here’s Blorp, for example:

There’s too many apps for me to test. Please let me know if you find more apps that can do this. I’m especially curious if you can find an app that supports web, iOS, Android and lets you login with Lemmy and PieFed simultaneously.

  • Blorp dev here. What I can I do to bring Blorp to the top of the list in your opinion?

  • Blorp dev here. Just out of curiosity did you not see the same performance issues (e.g. scroll) with Blorp that you saw with voyager? I’m using similar technologies to voyager, so this would be helpful in informing future decisions I make.

  • Blorp dev here. What if I fix this in the next release? Would that convince you to stick around?

    Edit: spelling

  • Blorp dev here. Blorp does have user tagging, but it actually stores all that data client side. I had no idea PieFed had user tagging built in. It would be nice to integrate with the PieFed API, but it would be a little tricky.

Currently, if you tag a user in Blorp, that tag is stored at the app level. You can login to your app with a Lemmy and a PieFed account simultaneously. If you tag a user from your PieFed account, you will still see that user tag after you switch to your Lemmy account.

If we did tagging at account level instead of app level, the user tags you see would change base on which account you switch to.

  • Blorp dev here! We have

    • Multi account support, better than any other client imo
    • Login with Lemmy and PieFed
    • Save post drafts, finish later
    • Create piefed poll posts
    • PieFed emoji reactions
    • Some fun themes and easter eggs
    • Great nsfw browsing, if that’s your thing
    • And much more

iOS | FDroid | Google Play | Source Code

  • Blorp dev here. We got great support for web and iOS/Android. Though admittedly, the PWA install could use a little improvement. But the more Android becomes an issue, the more I’ll work on improving the PWA.

  • #3 would be a fantastic hide and seek spot if you add a hatch and a small rug

  • I don’t see the issue. Americans love cars and they love AI. This has both

  • I used brave for a while. Recently switched to zen browser to try some better tab management. But despite all braves issues, it’s ad/tracker blocking was always very good imo. I think it will be a good addition to Firefox.

  • So anthropic is admitting inters are smarter than its models :)

  • I didn’t read the article, but imo better criticism would be how bad Claude engineering has been these past few weeks.

Theo did a video walking through just how bad Claude’s desktop app is. Like it’s embarrassingly bad for a company that claims to have a model so powerful that it spits out zero-day exploits like a vending machine.

  • What if the add is inserted into the AI summary?
