  • I'd say don't worry about it, it's still money you can better spend somewhere else. Replace your clothes as they wear out, choose comfy, ethically produced fibers, buy goods that last. Fashion and trends is just a scheme to get more money out of you.

    The show that taught me English because I couldn't wait for the subtitles back then! I rewatch it every couple of years, what a fantastic show! It was a long wait to get a proper conclusion when Season 5 was cancelled.

  • Star Wars. I saw maybe 20 minutes of one film of the original trilogy, and 10 minutes of one film of the second trilogy, none of the rest. It's beyond me.

  • i experienced similar difficulties. what worked was to reshare my own old posts using the "double arrow"-icon, i think the servers see them as new content and sync it again (you can remove your repost afterwards, once it's synced it stays visible.

    setting the license type is only implemented on new posts, there isn't any way to set them on existing posts, it's probably on the roadmap with a low priority: https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/issues/4525

    When you start following and interacting with people on other instances, the federation kicks in and their content is slowly retrieved, but it can take a while depending on the load

  • i saw him on two separate youtube channels: Magnus Midtbø (norwegian climber) and Will Tennyson (bodybuilding vlogger)

    in both cases, they were invited by Bryan Johnson to his lair, going through his routine. it felt like a surreal cringe fest of zero social awareness. Bryan was permanently looking for some kind of validation, comparing his skills to his guest, or asking the various personal trainers / doctors if he beat some younger age category, etc.

    everything he does can't be healthy and i wouldn't call what he does "living". he's bound to a 24h program where everything is planned down to the minute.

  • no, i support an open internet. censorship is stupid and generally easily worked around. which usually leads to an escalation to make it more and more difficult, until you have chinese-style internet.

  • the head dev Dan Sup mentioned the number of active users jumping from 6k to 30k. we'll see how it holds, but there is strength in numbers, people only stay if other people see what they post there. i have good hopes and really want to ditch instagram
