  • They give you the package info. Just ignore their email and input that into the USPS address manually. Kind of like the FedEx and UPS scams. You don't have to use their link to "check the status" of something. Go to the real site, enter number, see fake, ignore!

  • What ways/methods have you used to memorize passwords?

  • For the work passwords I have to remember and cannot always access a password manager, I use pass phrases instead. Statistically, 3 random, non-similar words, are more secure than normal passwords. Changing random letters to symbols and capitalizing can further improve the security. For instance...

    Unless the OP believes that John Bolton is comprised of more than one person, they were probably talking about the two that Bolton cited as needing an investigation, not Bolton himself.

  • I get it, the anger and spite, but you're not running for president in a country where a portion of the population believes you should be saintly while your opponent spews vitriol any time he opens his mouth. Biden has nothing to lose by removing the gloves, but unfortunately, calling a rose a pig dipped in dog shit while hoping to appease the largest swath of voters is something Harris needs to shoulder. Biden should have never made those comments, at least not until after the election.

    I feel the same as you, but we have the platform to voice those things anonymously and without repercussions.

  • I don't run my own instance, but one concern I see grappled with by instances, at some time in their existence, is how to handle image storage and embedding. I won't pretend to know the options or have opinions on which to use or how to resolve the larger issues, but I see that as a large hurdle to mainstream, in addition to the points referenced by OP.

    Probably missing some, but these are the ones I can remember right now. I think Schindler's List should be required viewing by everyone before they graduate high school. I remember when they used to air it on regular TV, unedited and uncensored, commercial free. I feel we were nicer and more willing to avoid wars back then.

    I ain't ashamed to say it, I cry every damn time I watch it.

  • One use-case for me has been converting code from a language I know to a language I don't. Usually, just small snippets. The code is usually full of holes, but I'm good enough with the logic to duct tape those puppies!
