I'm not against a policy like this in all cases, because men are obviously going to commit many times more assaults than women. Very controversial take among some but separate male and female spaces should exist, as long as they are part of community resources though, not corporate branding shit, not reactionary political groups (duh, but whatever you guys all have law enforcement infested with this rather than LEO cracking down on it). This is however collective punishment against men who have already been forced into gig work, particularly migrant dudes with families they send money back to (Uber loves taking advantage of dubious situations this is a way that the US exploits third world labor power). So you don't like AI and you may find the dev not to your taste + too Chinese, however unlike the dozen other guys/groups exactly like main dev I have seen make a fediverse app with AI slop characteristics or twitter app, this one is actually functional, snappy interface, and successfully connects with twitter & dms reliably. Just turn off the stupid AI summaries everyone adds to everything and it's a great little app with a functioning share button.

Well unfortunately you could never have a giant group chat in Delta currently due to the lack of moderation features. XMPP is better for that. I completely agree though that Delta (and Arcane Chat especially shoutout ADB great guy) has many of the privacy improvements that something like Signal ought to. It's stupendous for handing limited connectivity, the bots and apps are awesome (better than Matrix by far) and unlike the more commonly promoted alternatives that are dependent on US state dept funding (Signal and Matrix), XMPP and Delta Chat use W3C internet standards
