  • .NET & C# is still all coming from Microsoft. Since I don't use Microsoft products or Windows, I never liked C#. I know there are now maybe open-source and support under Linux, I will never forget. I will never forgive. NO!

  • For the people who doesn't get it (I notice your /s, so you do get it): It's has a hidden joke. Mate can also mean "friend". So "Welcome to Linux Mint mate!" can mean two things at the same time. Hence my reply: "Maybe Cinnamon mate!", where "Cinnamon" refers to "Linux Mint Cinnamon", but mate just refers to friend/buddy. But Mate can also mean MATE, a classic desktop environment for Linux Mint.

  • I assume people will actually leave to other platforms, maybe Ghost, maybe Hugo or Jekyll.

  • Have you tried static site generators like Hugo?

  • Luckily I moved to Hugo static site generator 3 years ago.. peweff.. I love PHP, but boy Wordpress was going down hill back then. And still is to this day. Introducing "features" nobody asked for. And at the same time makes your site slow.

  • I agree. And the default AWS configs are very unsafe as well. But I didn't came up with the same, blame Amazon.

  • S3 stands for "Simple Storage Service" not "Simple Storage Solution".. fake news :P

  • I got tons of DDoS attacks from China & Singapore lately (including a lot of people I know around me running servers). So maybe this is true for this specific DDoS attack, but in general this chart can't be correct. A lot of DDos is happening from Tencent cloud & Alibaba cloud as well!!!

  • I do love my Kobo Libra 2, also allows me to just put my epubs on the thing, without the need for subscriptions. etc.

  • Also you can't replace the battery. So if you electric brush is dead, you will need to replace the whole thing.

  • Man, don't get me started on razor blades, coffee machines, video game console, electric toothbrushes and e-readers...!

  • It's not just HP

  • Correct. Assuming your TV doesn't connect to open wifi access points.

And assuming you never want to use any of the smart features or apps.

  • Yes you can build your own HTPC, and connect it to the TV, that is what I've been doing for the past 8 years.

  • You could also setup a virtual LAN. And disallow internet on that VLAN. Or go to the Privacy & Terms menu in the TV and disallow all privacy settings (opt-out).

Is there evidence of this happening?

Well no.. but I can't rule it out either.
