  • Read the second part of the sentence.Extensions break when you install Gnome from your distro repos and the extensions from somewhere else (like extensions.gnome.org).If you mix sources, YOU take on the job of keeping everything compatible.

  • What exactly do new releases break, apart from the extensions you installed from a different source than your distro's repos? If you don't like constant changes, that's not a Gnome issue, that's you choosing a bleeding edge distro when you actually wanted stability.

  • But that's a snow panda, not a trash panda.

  • The Gnome UI is great, without any extensions. An absolute game changer for laptops. You can navigate it quickly with just the meta key, arrow keys and a touchpad or scroll wheel. No memorizing key combos or aiming for small icons with the mouse.Everything is hidden when you don't need it and prominently visible when you do.

  • This is the most boring movie I ever watched.

  • Unpopular opinion: I like the hamburger button. Easy to find at a glance, and I don't have to guess which sub-menu the settings are in. Now, if you have a hamburger AND 3 dots... 🤬🤬🤬

  • It's usually an oversight.The designers are literally colorblind-blind.

  • He looks like Charles Sanders Peirce, who proposed the implementation of logic via electrical circuits, and whose works provide the theoretical foundation for relational databases, computer science and AI.

  • In my mind, the full stop "sounds" like dropping the voice at the end, like you do at the end of a sentence. And in speech, dropping the voice at the end of "Great" would sound sarcastic.

Whereas an exclamation mark "sounds" high-pitched and excited.

And no punctuation is so normal in text that my mind "adds" the expected sign at the end, which after "Great" would be an exclamation mark.

It's really hard to explain, I hope I'm making sense.

  • I don't know about the conspiracy, and every body is different, so I don't believe there's a best solution for everyone. But no shampoo works very well for me. Only wash my hair thoroughly with water and brush it afterwards. It's never looked and felt better. I used to have horrible dandruff which is now completely gone. And if it smelled bad, there are enough people in my life who I know wouldn't be too polite to tell me.

  • "Saving" a file should already be obsolete.Filesystems should automatically retain history, so whenever you edit something it's already saved, with the ability to go back to any previous state.
