  • my routine was search for similar function, read/understand a piece of code. copy/paste block. modify for my context. test, move on hardly ever wrote anything from scratch because it just took longer. ai seems like an unmodified copy/paste that doesn't quite work. like generated art for non--artists, sucks. generated code for non-coders also sucks.

  • was prescribed tricyclic antidepressants off label for pain. doc told me they weren't addictive. they lied. soul--crushing anxiety withdrawal. symptoms improved immediately with one dose. 'dependency' is what they called it. pain would have been easier to deal with. two years of tapering and treating anxiety with SSRI etc. nortriptyline is addictive. say no. weed has no withdrawals and helps with the pain.
