'round the world and home again, that's the sailor's way...

  • Awesome thank you 👍 👍

  • From an engineering perspective: Agents are great if you are building prototypes or are flushing out an area of your stack that is heavily standardized (i.e. the AI has had a lot of examples to learn from, e.g. simple authentication flows, simple database singletons, basic QA automated testing, etc); However, if you are building new stuff or stuff the AI has not trained on, it is absolutley, infuriatingly prone to output garbage.

edit: it's no secret either, spin up a new project and you'll be greeted with this don't trust me billboard right from the get-go:

  • Thank you for the heads up, I'll check them out! I was debating posting in the self-hosted community as this helps maintain your personal library, but it is sort of nebulous if it directly relates or not...

  • Cheers brother!

  • I'm actually a single person... a solitary 'folk' if you will.

  • I keep phones forever as well but like to keep them updated as long as possible (Pixel 6 is my daily driver)

  • Awesome! will check it out, thank you for the suggestion!

  • Two votes for lawnchair, thank you.

  • Will check it out, thank you!

  • we present a systematic literature review of 37 peer-reviewed studies published between January 2014 and December 2024

So they AI summarized other people's work.

Most studies are exploratory (64%) and methodologically diverse, but lack longitudinal and team-based evaluations.

And later acknowledge there are major gaps in methodology. I wouldn't be linking to this as proof of accelerated dev imho.

  • Big night last night, blunt was rolled and smoked which is out of character. It's singed, brown corpse is relaxing at the edge of an ash pool inside the "ass"-tray my wife bought a few years ago. The wrapper is also on my desk. Two is my answer.

  • Go-to meals that don't break the bank:

    • Butter/Vindaloo Chicken
    • Marinara/Ragu/Bolognese
    • Whole air-fried chicken
    • Roast Pork Butt w/ ratatouille
    • Madras Lentils
    • Refried Black/Pinto beans + wraps

    Tips:

    • I buy a bag of taters and pressure cook like 6-12 at one time (depending on size) then individually freeze them. Now potato sides, baked potatoes, etc are greatly simplified.
    • Buy a large pork butt and either section it yourself and freeze or roast the whole thing for leftovers. Collect the drippings and make a pork broth, great for a soup base!
    • Roasting a whole chicken with simple seasonings/butter, then sectioning and using the carcass for stock - lots of precooked chicken and 'free' stock in the fridge!
  • There are 'core' things about sex and sexuality that have always turned me on and I always return to... but I ebb and flow a lot over the years and have sexual fads and experimentations in my private sexual experience of life, just as I do with my shared sexual experience with my partner.

  • Guinness World Records says is the smallest

    Wut?

  • When I first deployed to my VPS the iOS client would keep auto updating and then refusing to connect to the older version deployed (android client had no issues) - they were pushing updates often. I setup a chron job to pull the latest docker image and restart the containers, no more problems. Dunno if that is still necessary or not.

  • I keep a list that is shared/synced with my s/o via a self-hosted KitchenOwl instance. I've been slowly porting my recipes over to it as well. Overall very satisfied and it works well.

  • Without being able to log into my Jellyfin atm, so relying on the jelly between my ears:

    • Y tu mamá también (2001)
    • Waltz with Bashir (2008)
    • Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (2000)

There is no 'favorite' in cinema imho!

  • I still have nova on my phone that I paid for over a decade ago - maybe I should check this out.
