  • Why?

And didn't we all leave Risa for a very good reason?

  • When this was still big, a friend of mine said he saw it and really liked it. I casually said, "Be sure to watch it all the way through!"

I don't know what prompted me to say that.

A few weeks later, we were talking, and he suddenly said, "Oh, BY THE WAY....I tried to watch Badger Badger Badger all the way through..." He said watched for "a while" before he caught on.

If I tried to plan a practical joke, it would never go as well as that one did.

I sent an article about this to him. He laughed.

  • Yeah, here, I see comments about their footwear or possibly wearing a turban. Oh and none of them can speak English. In fairness, English proficiency is a requirement to get a CDL (commercial driver's license), and somehow some states did issue CDLs to people who were not proficient in English...but I seriously doubt it's more than a tiny percentage of drivers that don't meet the standard.

  • Or, to put it more simply: Christians overwhelmingly voted for Trump.

Not all of them, definitely, but a huge percentage did.

    That's what they are.

  • Supply-side Jesus worshipper.

  • In the US, every time I see any video of a truck crash, there are tons of racist comments about the driver of the truck, who can't even be seen in most of the videos.

Because, as everyone knows, no white guy has ever caused a truck crash. Ever.

I assume the issue here is that they sit around all day listening to right wing radio.

  • It's not canon, but in the novel Metamorphosis, crewman visit Data's cabin to install a bed.

  • A high percentage of the people I see driving apparently are following the advice of that sign.

  • Agreed. She was so scared to sign up to join the Enterprise mission, but she did just so she could experience new languages. Smart decision by Archer to get her aboard. Even T'Pol complimented her abilities.

  • Ugh sigh

  • Maybe they are there to do some advanced math to help Voyager.

  • Really interesting.

I was pretty burned out on my job for many reasons. I still love the underlying task and miss it, but a lot of things had built up to make doing that task extremely frustrating. I knew I was burned out, for example, in meetings, I struggled to stay focused.

But I couldn't quit, I needed the money. I put in a few applications but nothing panned out. 7 years to retirement, and I had no idea how I was going to make it.

Then the company offered early retirements with buyouts. Tomorrow will be one year since I officially retired.

I took a job in a bike shop repairing bikes. I still do it, but it wasn't enough money, so I also got into real estate photography. I turned two things I love into new careers. With the pension, I'm making it work.

  • That's the problem. No one wants to test Ai like that. Just dive right in and use it, I'm sure it's great!

  • Yeah, of course she's a medical professional, not really a command officer, so it's not surprising. She did okay though.

  • This is stupid. No one would care that he fell over while a bunch of people were pushing him out of there. It's pretty easy to get tripped up in a situation like that.

But of course, Trump has to make sure everyone knows he didn't fall. What an ego.

  • Not one of my favorite episodes, but it did have some good character moments.

Why don't we argue Troi's decision to put power to that engineering panel instead of saving the saucer section, like we do about Tuvix?

  • Shitcock!

  • Tools

  • I played with a knockoff one time at a computer show and sale (hah, remember those?!). I didn't feel like I'd use it enough, so I didn't buy it. Now I'm kind of curious. I wonder if I can pick up one cheap to play with. Might be the kind of thing I find uses for after buying it (I'm a photographer so it might be helpful while editing).

  • We feed one of ours cheese puffs. He loves them!
