  • either that or hot dogs are 100% sandwiches, like subs. or are you saying orientation matters? is a hot dog on its side a sandwich?

  • there was nothing about that in the rules!

  • one of them is the base, the other is filling.

  • yes. it's based on a sandwich but it's its own thing.

  • actually i'll go the other way on this: a hot dog ds not a sandwich, and neither is a hamburger. sandwiches are eaten cold. if the bread and/or filling is hot then it's something else. otherwise a pizza would qualify as a sandwich.

  • a hot dog is a taco. is a taco a sandwich?

  • by this definition, two uncooked ramen noodle blocks stacked on eachother is a sandwich.

  • it's a weird church thing. they fly people to nigeria and have them marry men there so they can get into the country easier. only, immigration knows about it so they keep blocking it. this time they tried holding the wedding here, only the guy couldn't get a visa because he has no marketable skills.

this has gone on for at least thirty years.

  • i don't see why it has to be specialised. you could do this with mastodon today. just post every ipfs uri as a message.

  • isn't this just ipfs?

  • that also helps. truth be told we're all too busy to do actual rubberducking unless we work on something together so proxies are a good alternative.

  • i have colleagues for that

  • they're stored in plaintext, so anyone with access to the server can read them. i'm assuming you can't fetch someone else's DMs but i haven't read the source.

  • with a 20b model on weak hardware you'll be waiting more like 10 minutes. unless the os clobbers your process for using too much memory.

  • others have answered the important parts so i'll just do an addendum: your DMs on lemmy are also available to everyone.

  • i have a relative like this. no, not metaphorically, literally. got invited to a wedding before the visa papers were filed. not the first time either.

  • i think the built-in blocker is based on uBo, no?
