It's just a joke, bro

Or is it?

  • Sheesh, someone is salty

  • We're sad to announce that, from that day forward, you will no longer be able to see political ads on Meta services like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

(Idk how to blame the EU while trying to sound like a sane, professional corporation not throwing a hissy fit)

  • Oh, okay. Sounds similar. Sounds like rolling, but just once. Rolling if you turn off the looping option. I am not a linguist, though, so I don't know the intricacies of sounds

  • Aren't all R's rolling, though? Some longer and some shorter. I.e. rr and r. Guess I get it, though. Words starting with a single 'r' are pronounced like 'rr'. Interesting on the 'll' and 'ch' bits, too. Wasn't aware ¡Gracias, RAE!

  • Don't think those are separate letters. Just pronounced differently. I mean, rr is just 2 r's. Not a new letter. And this isn't an ß-type case either. Phonetically different, yes. Different letters? Creo que no. Could be wrong, though. Hispanohablantes de Lemmy, corrijanme

  • "brainwashed" 💀

  • Oi, bruv. Just wanned to know wassup. No need to middle-finger me (without emojis)

  • Nun, wazup witcha?

  • What's up tack?

  • I was more so commenting on the expression than the overall project. But yes, for the project as a whole, that might be an indicator

  • I'd say depends on context. Sure, a mom talking to her baby like that is innocent (I hope). But if yer galpal shows up in underwear talking with a sexy voice, that'd be different (or so I'd imagine. Idk. Clearly not talking from experience). With the added emoji, I'd take it to be an emulation of something closer to the latter

  • Between videos that aren't in English being in robot-voice English, and videos that aren't NSFW being impossible to watch now cause they deem it 18+…

If I've learned anything from this 18+ thing, is that, if they wanted, you'd really need to log in to watch videos. FreeTube won't play 'em, yt-dlp won't download 'em. Short of sketchy websites probably implementing an account of their own in the background, nothing else. And even sketchy websites, it'll take you a hot minute to find one that works.

As for the English bot voice, I've learned to "Open Invidious link." Until FreeTube fixes this, at least. Heard it's on the way. Though idk if this is the same issue as the post mentions

  • Funnily, just the other day I was reverse looking up what a symbol was in LaTeX, i.e. I had the \symbol text but not the symbol itself. So I look up whatever that symbol was in text, along with the word 'latex.' I think the search was 'cup latex.' Colour me surprised when I go to 'images', try and see if an image of it shows up. It was not LaTeX. Not with that capitalisation

  • Simple: it may sound innocent, but has a secret meaning behind it. 18? Hate speech?! You're crazy. That's just a number. Woke and DEI gone too far. Muh free speech

  • Some dude vs. LLM. Fight!

  • I personally just wanna use my computer in peace, knowing no one's gonna catch a glimpse of my screen without any further context (especially if the context doesn't make it much better).

  • Mine is set somewhat like that, except none of those benefits. People can sneak from behind. I could place the desk on the other side of the room, but the entrance is narrow rather than an overall square room, so I'd have the desk on the way in, essentially. At least without moving the bed. If I rearrange the bed, I guess I could find a way to make it work. Though I'd also need to move other stuff around as well. Also, if near a window, which would be the best position, out the way but also no sneaking, I could end up with sun potentially hitting the screen, in through the window, from an angle
