  • They were a bit vague, I think because they don't know whether Waltz personally set up the chat or had someone under him do it for him. Either way he's the participant who is responsible for the invites. I'd just like more details on how it could have even happened that JG was added.

    So many questions. Did Waltz (or underling) think the initials represented someone else they meant to add (and if so, who)? Did they just fat finger tapping on a list of names? Or maybe carelessly re-used a name list from some previous chat that JG was in? If it was an underling, did they know who JG was and deliberately added him in to leak the illegal avoidance of the Records Act that's been going on? It's all just so weird.

    Ergonomically, you should use the Shift (or Ctrl or Alt) key on the opposite side of the keyboard as the key you are modifying. This helps prevent carpal tunnel issues because you can keep your wrists straight and not be twisting them unnaturally to reach key combos. You should also not have your wrists resting on the wrist rest or other surface while typing as that also contributes to carpal tunnel problems. Just use it in between stretches of typing (or maybe people just hunt and peck these days, I dunno).

  • I haven't found anything so far saying who invited him in. Just passive voice that he was "inadvertently" included. So in your source that it was Waltz, did it say whether he personally did it or was it one of his staff? I'd be interested to know how it happened. Did someone misunderstand who "JG" meant? (apparently it was just his initials). If so, who with the initials JG did they think they were inviting. I'd appreciate any link with that info if you have it.

What most stories miss is that the main reason they didn't use official channels for this (and most likely many of their other conversations as well) is that they don't want to comply with the Federal Records Act. They don't want there to be a record of a lot of the shit they're saying and doing and plan to do.

    First, don't meet with them. Don't give them a diplomatic escort, but maybe follow them around with a few troops in case you want to stop them going to certain places. Or don't let them in at all.

    I assume they plan to land at the US military base--I don't know if that means they don't have to ask permission to enter Greenland's airspace and land? But depending on how much Denmark wants to scale up the tensions, they could either refuse them permission to land or let them land but refuse to let them exit the US base into Greenland's territory.

    Either way, start procedures to close the base and kick them out. They've given more than enough justification by threatening Greenland. Whether you really want to close the base or not, threaten to and then you can negotiate for some kind of payment to let the base stay. That's what trump would do and what he would respond to. You have to stand up to a bully or they'll never stop bullying you.

  • Seize all his assets and put them into funds for universal health care, social security, WIC, etc. Then not to be cruel, provide him with food and shelter like you would any living creature; however to get to the food each day, he has to walk down a street that is lined with people who can jeer, boo, spit and laugh at him (but fenced off so not allowed to do any violence), and daily footage is streamed online for viewing by those unable to attend.

  • trump is going ahead and doing whatever he wants anyway, regardless of laws or court orders, with the full support of the R party which is in the majority in both Houses anyway.

  • Only one House Dem voted yes on it (Jared Golden of Maine). So it passed 217-213 because R's have the majority and one of them defected as well. So House Dems are holding together pretty well, but as long as the R's also hold together there's nothing they can do to stop them.

    Only the Senate D's could have stopped the bill, by voting against cloture (even though Dems are in the minority, cloture requires 60 votes). But not only Schumer but 9 other quislings (8 D's and 1 I) voted with the fascists. List of them here. But Schumer is Leader so if he had taken a stand against it, probably some of those other 9 would have followed his lead and it could have been stopped.
