  • I think the message is that you contributed to their deaths by creating a demand for their meat? I'm honestly not sure and it seems like a vegan sidekick comic, but better drawn

  • That's a valid question, especially with AI coding being so prevalent.

  • There has been a lot of data mining in the past few months that indicates they are working on something that has yet to be released, which is very likely a Half Life game. I've been watching the HLX Files series by Tyler McVicker for a while as he sticks to just facts without much hype.

  • I got a two year English degree and now work in tech. It was primarily focused on creative writing, which doesn't help much in my field.

  • Yikes. I knew a former gitlab CTO. I wonder if it is the same person.

  • Only if you learn how to use it correctly

  • So say we all

  • No, this is not normal. Or at least my upbringing was nothing like this. I grew up catholic (until 12) and my extended family is fairly conservative. While I did fall into the cishet paradigm, no one was spying on me and looking for evidence I wasn't.

Is there anything you didnt share that would explain further why they did what they did? Can you think of any reason they would suspect you?

  • Just sharing what helps me - break up your reply so it isn't a wall of text.

3-4 sentences max per thought, then break it up.

  • The only games I've struggled with are those with codecs that are not distributed with Proton. Installing GE-Proton solved it.

99.99% of games on Linux unlocked.

  • +1

  • Wrap it in aluminum foil and its fine in the freezer.

  • AMD has great Linux support.

  • That moment of clarity

  • I agree with you on this. Let it handle things you don't care about and massage the output if necessary. Anything I do care about, I code myself, but will ask for help if I get stuck on something. I'm a novice programmer at best, 18/100 skill score.

  • Many people don't understand that porn is a super stimuli and our brains can be rewired to prefer it over normal sex. They will also argue it is propaganda to suggest such a thing - primarily because of the stigma around sex in a puritan society like ours.

I'm no saint here and don't have an easy button for you. All I can suggest is go as long as you can without porn, then masturbate to your imagination. The longest streak I've managed to avoid porn did this. It may not work for you, but its worth a try.

I realized I had similar issues you mentioned and found online communities that don't discriminate like rebootnation. Another good reminder that this can happen to anyone is the YouTube series by Terry fucking Crews: dirty little secret. If he had a problem with porn, anyone can.

  • A lot of speculation on your part without any evidence to the contrary. If you want to engage in good faith dialogue, be prepared with sources and not personal opinions.

Also your username in itself is a reference to white nationalism, so...

  • Fuck Seinfeld

  • I had one of those t-shirts in the early 00s. Got it at a Goodwill and hung it on my wall for a while

  • I think that in a society like ours where sex is shamed by some groups, there is absolutely a need to break that paradigm and make sex a positive thing. You won't find me arguing puritan values.

What I stated is that some people -do- struggle to control themselves. Masterbation by itself is not problematic, but based on what I've read, superstimuli like pornography can dampen the response to normal stimulus (eg. real sex). Our brains are complicated and neuroscience is not well understood in this area.

I'd encourage you to read some of the scientific papers linked on the site and make your own conclusions. I've also read papers from the opposite perspective. Both make very good points.
