  • Currently judging between 2 names based on behavior

The first is the name of my former D&D Artificer, Sharahn. This is because she only wants to hang out around my technology for some reason

The other is Lilliana, like the magic Planeswalker. She's black (super duper dark brown, but close enough) and keeps knocking over my Garruk plush but not my Chandra plush

  • Ohh, I do like obsidian...

  • She's an absolute sweet heart! A few hours in and she's already seeking cuddles with me!

  • Oh hey, my username is also from neopets! Though it's just the username it recommended to me like 20 years ago, and I've been using it ever since

  • As a web guy, absolutely. It's the fucking worst

  • Very true

  • Ah, right, oops

  • I tried using it to spit ball ideas for my DMing. I was running a campaign set in a real life location known for a specific thing. Even if I told it to not include that thing, it would still shoe horn it in random spots. It quickly became absolutely useless once I didn't need that thing included

Sorry for being vague, I just didn't want to post my home town on here

  • Hey now, markdown serves it's purpose. It's not great, but as a web dev, I don't want people expecting full WYSIWYG editors in every website cause fuck that!

  • Cause that's not the order the song goes in?

Edit: don't downvote them folks. They might not have known how a Katy Perry Carly Rae Jepsen song from a decade ago goes!

  • Ah, good to know!

  • Ope. Had no idea who that was! Any idea why Beverly is in yellow?

  • Ah, yeah, it probably is!

  • Wait, is that Beverly in an engineering uniform?

  • Thanks again for all the answers! One more "one more question" if I haven't scared you off yet -

What are the odds I could get a picture or something specific to Google for what your sewing needle(s) look like? I'm guessing you don't use the tiny ones people use on clothes.

  • A kevlar allergy is definitely an interesting one!

I gotta ask what you mean by patches. Judging by the fact you seem to mostly work on racing ships and other very expensive sailing ships, I'm guessing you don't mean patches in the sense of filler material to fix holes?

  • Thanks a ton for the answers!

I'm honestly unsure where my brain got the knife thing if I'm being honest.

One more question for you if you don't mind -

    How's kevlar to work with?

  • How do you get into a job like that? I figured they would mostly be made by machines nowadays.

What's the biggest sail you've worked on?

    Best/worst material to work with?

What kind of equipment does your job require?

You mentioned a knife but I'm guessing it's not a common knife. I'm imagining more of a hook shaped blade to pull easier, but would love to know if I was wrong

  • Mind if I bug you with questions about sail making? That sounds like a super interesting job!
